00:00The NFL draft, did you enjoy last night?
00:02I certainly did.
00:03I think a lot of football teams helped themselves.
00:05Am I going to say the pick at 31 to the Philadelphia Eagles?
00:08Getting a linebacker was the best overall pick in the draft.
00:10I won't say that, even though I might think that with my fandom here.
00:13But I think a lot of teams, once again, helped themselves out.
00:15It's the players, though, and where they're going to go in day number two
00:19as we reset the marketplace.
00:21And it always starts right up top and typically with the quarterbacks.
00:25Three quarterbacks that are still on the board that we thought might have possibilities
00:28to go in round number one did not go there.
00:31That was Shadour Sanders.
00:33That was Jalen Milrow.
00:34That was Tyler Shook.
00:35But we want to focus on the biggest name here who was fighting just a month ago
00:39to be that number one overall pick.
00:41That was Shadour Sanders.
00:42So people that might not have tuned in in hour number one as we talk to Shadour Sanders,
00:47get ready for hour number two because we're going to try to get into some of the intricacies
00:50of why that didn't take place.
00:52And I want to start here, Joe, to be honest.
00:54Like, I don't think it really was a combination of, oh, well, he's really good on the field
00:59and really good on the, you know, whiteboard here, and he can really pick out plays.
01:03Do you think there was an element to Shadour Sanders where if you remove what he did on
01:07the field where maybe it would be more of a little bit of a headache to get him?
01:12And if we thought somebody was on an even playing field with him, we go the other direction?
01:15Because I really thought he would be a first-round pick.
01:18I was stunned when he wasn't a first-round pick, Joe.
01:21Well, you know, history tells us, Donnie, where teams that are quarterback-needy usually reach.
01:29Now, this was not a very deep quarterback class this year.
01:34And really, outside of Cam Ward, Shadour, and Dart, you know, Milrow maybe, but I think
01:41everyone thought he would be a second or third-round pick at best there.
01:46But you would think that teams that have no quarterback would have, you know, especially
01:52towards maybe the end of the draft, maybe move up and go get what they think is maybe
01:58the future of their franchise.
01:59But the problem is, you're not just getting Shadour Sanders when you draft him.
02:05You are getting a circus.
02:06And if you don't think that he is going, you know, that there are just too many intangibles
02:13that aren't worth taking the risk in the first round, then you pass.
02:18But the idea that all of these quarterback-needy teams all got on the same page and said,
02:24listen, if I draft him in the second or third round and it doesn't work out, that's fine.
02:28But if I draft him in the first round and I bring this circus here and it doesn't work out,
02:33then I lose my job.
02:35And that's kind of exactly seems to be the theme here.
02:38Too many scouts worried that he's not a quarterback that's going to have success in the NFL.
02:45Time will tell.
02:47He's going to go in round number two.
02:48But again, I thought he was going to go in round number one.
02:51If we set the table for round number two, because, you know, phone calls were made and
02:54like the favorite pick in the draft typically is everyone wants to call up to number one in
02:59the first round.
02:59Hey, what's it going to take?
03:00Can I get that guy?
03:01No, no, no.
03:02We're not going to get him.
03:03Or if you trade out, it's going to be for a ransom.
03:05Day number two is always interesting to me because the draft ends, let's just say at
03:09midnight, kicks off again in prime time tonight, all of these hours.
03:13And you know, as the number one pick in round number two today, it's the Cleveland Browns.
03:18Three picks later, you know, who's on the board again, Joe, the Cleveland Browns, who,
03:22you know, they're looking still for their future quarterback.
03:25If I asked you a question this morning, Shador Sanders going in round number two, is it pick
03:30number one or do you think the possibility of a new row or a show could still go before
03:35Shador Sanders?
03:36Well, with that team, absolutely.
03:40You and I were just talking off air.
03:42And one of my questions was, if I'm Shador Sanders, do I want to go to the Browns?
03:46Browns, do at six foot one, 212 pounds, you're already what many consider to be too short
03:55to play the position.
03:56And now you're going to have to play in 30 mile an hour winds in December in Cleveland
04:01in those conditions at 6'1", 212.
04:05I don't want to go there.
04:07I absolutely want none to do there.
04:09I think there are, at this point, if I'm Shador Sanders, it's not about just getting
04:14drafted.
04:15It's about landing in the right place, too, as well.
04:18And if I'm Cleveland, do I want a six foot one, 210 pound quarterback in December trying
04:24to win games on the road in Pittsburgh?
04:27Is that really what I want, Tony?
04:29It's a good thought because you're right about it.
04:31Some teams land like, hey, what is Drew Brees' career would have been if he was a Cleveland
04:34Brown as opposed to playing in domes and being the accurate passer, maybe not the biggest
04:38arm strength that you have.
04:40But if we all look like the top five picks, let's take a look here in the second round.
04:44It's Cleveland who needs a quarterback still.
04:47Houston doesn't.
04:48The Titans at number three overall in the second round.
04:50They don't need a quarterback.
04:51They just drafted one.
04:52Then you see the Cleveland Browns on the clock, but behind them, fifth overall in the second
04:56round, it's the Vegas Raiders.
04:58Yes, I understand they got Geno Smith.
04:59He's aging.
05:00But is that a spot where we talked about before the draft, if Shador had a spot to pick, it
05:05probably would be Vegas.
05:06So the opportunity is coming up and we'll hold the conversation right there.
05:10So after the break, because I want Joe's opinion on this and give him some time with
05:13it.
05:13These are intriguing picks to start day number two.
05:16Let's get into it with some of these quarterbacks just might go next.
05:20All right, let's get down to this here because round number two is going to be exciting right
05:24off the bat with the Cleveland Browns, maybe looking quarterback with the first overall
05:27pick in the second round.
05:29But Joe and I were talking over the break.
05:30There are some teams that might jump into the picture because the focus is going to be on
05:34quarterback because Shador Sanders is a lightning rod.
05:37You also have other really talented players like Jalen Milroo is making a nice little run
05:41up the draft boards here.
05:42How soon does he go?
05:42And also, does he or Tyler Shook go even before Shador Sanders?
05:46Once again, the top five, Joe, the Browns, Houston, Tennessee, the Browns again, and Las
05:52Vegas.
05:53But you think there might be another team in the mix that says, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'll pick
05:58up the phone right now, move up because I'm still looking for my future quarterback.
06:02Well, I'll tell you what, I'll give you a, I don't think it's any, I don't think it's
06:06a coincidence that the Giants traded up one spot to get Jackson Dart because do you know
06:12who they traded ahead of?
06:14The Los Angeles Rams, who have a 37-year-old Matt Stafford as a quarterback.
06:21And we all know Sean McVay would love a project like that, like Shador Sanders, and there wouldn't
06:29be any controversy.
06:30It's Matt Stafford.
06:31You're not starting at a Matt Stafford.
06:33And they pick at what, number 45, I believe here.
06:37And I think the Giants thought for sure Jackson Dart was going to go, you know, Southern Cal
06:42guy was going to go there to McVay.
06:44So I found it interesting that they beat him to the punch.
06:47So the question is, will the Rams do anything to try to get up their successor?
06:53And if I'm Shador Sanders, I want McVay as my, I'll give me the Rams, give me an indoor
06:58venue, like get me the right coach, forget about the AFC North.
07:04New Orleans, I think is the wild card because much like the Drew Brees arrow had a lot of
07:10the same concerns coming out of college.
07:12You can't put this guy in the AFC North and expect him to win games on the road in Pittsburgh.
07:17And in Baltimore there, you just can't, you can't do it.
07:22He's not built for that.
07:24He's not Roethlisberger.
07:25And I think he's got to be very careful as to who picks him in this spot.
07:30I'm so interested to see where this ends up, because again, the intrigue right at the top
07:34of the draft with multiple teams having opportunities, like the Cleveland Browns might go there.
07:38As we said, the Raiders might go there.
07:40You also take a look at that wild card in the Saints who we had so many looks in the first
07:44round that we were listening to is like, Hey, you know what?
07:46They're really in on Jackson Dart, the quarterback for Ole Miss, not end up getting him.
07:50They're still in the court because their card doesn't even know it's going to play again
07:53right now.
07:53It seems like with the shoulder injury that seemingly came out of nowhere here.
07:56But let me ask you this question.
07:58If we are looking at Sanders, we're also looking at Milrow and Shook.
08:03One, two, and three in that order.
08:05And I'm not just going to say that they're going in the second round guaranteed all three of
08:08those.
08:09What is your order for those players to be taken the rest of the draft?
08:14Well, if Cleveland, who has the 33rd, 36th pick, right, they got two picks coming up of
08:19the next, what, five.
08:22And if they are going to go, if they are absolutely going to go, I mean, they added what Flacco and
08:27Kenny Pickett, right?
08:29That's your, that's what your quarterback situation is in Cleveland right now.
08:34Uh, I don't want Sanders because I don't think he's built, uh, like those guys in order to
08:39be able to win there.
08:40But Milrow would be very interesting to me.
08:43Would he not in Cleveland, a guy that would, uh, Kentucky who can run.
08:48He's a big physical guy.
08:49He's got an arm.
08:50I think Milrow and Cleveland is a match made in heaven here, uh, today, Donnie.
08:57It makes sense too, because you're also taking a look at, you know, the, the, and it's not
09:01fair to do this to Shadour, but Hey, this is what comes when your father is Deion Sanders.
09:05You played in the highlights all season long and you have all that hype and live up to it.
09:09It wasn't as if he had everything handed to him.
09:11He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
09:13So the talent is there, but we sort of get that same feeling in the opposite direction
09:17from Milrow.
09:18It's like, Hey man, team guy, always working out hard, not seeing him as the flash guy,
09:23learning to play, willing to learn.
09:24And also an unbelievably athletic and talented runner that can put the total pieces to the pie.
09:30And you're talking about a division that you see Lamar Jackson in the cold winds.
09:34There has a strong enough arm, but boy, when that pocket breaks down, he can get out of
09:38there and make some moves.
09:38There are elite defenses that you also need to score points against.
09:42Maybe Milrow is that guy, but there are other guys that we're going to talk about in round
09:46number two and the best players on the board outside of the quarterback position.
09:50One guy who we thought might slip into the first round along with Ashton Jinty was to be
09:54that number two running back.
09:55And that was Travion Henderson.
09:57It wasn't Henderson that went first.
09:59We had a running back go to San Diego that went ahead of him in Hampton.
10:03Travion Henderson's board today.
10:05Early looks for him.
10:06Where do you think he might wind up?
10:08Yeah.
10:09Well, it's, uh, it's interesting, right?
10:11A guy that played what four years at Ohio state.
10:14I mean, he was, it feels like he was there for absolutely, uh, ever.
10:19Uh, but here's another one of these classic situations with a running back.
10:23Am I drafting a running back in the second round?
10:27Uh, I wouldn't shock me if with the amount of other guys, you've got a lot of defensive
10:33linemen in this draft here.
10:35You got a lot of, uh, some wide receivers and some defensive backs.
10:40The, you know, the running backs.
10:42Also, there's plenty of them here.
10:45Did Trayvon Henderson impress enough?
10:47And sometimes with all that wear and tear, do teams really want to grab a guy in the second
10:52round that had that many carries and that many snaps in college?
10:56And I worry, uh, about that.
10:59I really, really do.
11:00But there's no doubt he'll be off the board by the third round.
11:04I think for sure running back from this point on.
11:06Yeah.
11:07Uh, I don't know what you're going to see in the second round here.
11:11Yeah.
11:11Some pretty good, you know, players still obviously left on the board since it's the second round
11:15getting underway.
11:15But if we look at the fan little sports book at the odds market themselves, number 33 pick
11:20overall, which again is the first pick of the second round.
11:24Shador Sanders is the favorite at a minus one 60 price followed then by it looks like,
11:28Hey, we're just going to take some shots because it's hard to predict.
11:30Mason Taylor, five to one Travion Henderson, six to one.
11:33Jalen Milrow plus eight 50 here at that point.
11:36And we sort of go down and move it forward.
11:38Shador Sanders, the team to pick him with the odds market here at the fan little sports
11:43book.
11:43It's the Browns is the favorite at minus one 65.
11:46The Raiders second place here, plus three 50 followed by the saints at five 50 Los Angeles
11:51at nine to one, the jets at nine 50.
11:53Then the Steelers at 13 to one, which is always interesting to me because teams can trade up
11:58and the Steelers decided not to get a quarterback.
12:00They still need their future quarterback and maybe their future quarterback for a year or
12:03two could be Aaron Rodgers.
12:05But from a team that was the favorite to draft Shador Sanders yesterday, now being 13 to
12:11one to draft Shador in the second round, that's interesting odds market how much they shifted
12:16where you thought he was going to the Steelers at 21.
12:19It was like, Hey, just take the under.
12:20It's a guarantee.
12:20It happens for him not to get drafted at all.
12:23How about the Steelers?
12:24Any chance for you?
12:25The Steelers say, you know what?
12:26Change of plans.
12:27Now there's value on Shador Sanders.
12:30Or they wait until they have an opportunity at maybe Milrow, because maybe they're not
12:37completely sold on Shador.
12:39And again, if you're Pittsburgh, you said you don't really have, you got two aging quarterbacks
12:43in the room.
12:44Uh, exactly.
12:46It would have been a perfect opportunity for you to go and get your quarterback there as
12:51he dropped, but you didn't instead you went defensive line.
12:54So that tells me not worthy of a first round pick.
12:59I don't know that they're going to reach in the second round to go get them either.
13:02I think if there's a quarterback left on a board, by the time it comes around to them,
13:07they'll grab them.
13:08If not, I think they're just going to keep building like they always did from the, uh,
13:12from the defensive line out.
13:15You know what the great part about this is too, because obviously there are NFL beat
13:18writers.
13:18There are insiders here.
13:19There's a really good chance.
13:21Like we're looking at the numbers, like Shador Sanders to go to Cleveland at minus 165, which
13:25the anticipation is they probably draft him number one, right out of the gate in the second
13:28round today.
13:29Those numbers are going to change drastically, Joe, over the next one hour, two hours, three
13:35hours, right up before the draft, where I don't know if we're going to have minus 50,000,
13:39of course, because things could change at that point.
13:41But I would be surprised.
13:43And if you're looking at some of those early smoke screens by noon today, they're probably
13:46going to move those around.
13:47No doubt about it.
13:48Let's have some fun with this one in the college football playoff and heading down the stretch
13:52Cam Scadaboo, the running back for Arizona state was so much fun to watch the leader in
13:57the clubhouse right now to draft him.
13:59It's the Patriots followed by the Kansas city chiefs, which Andy Reed would have a blast with
14:05this guy in the background.
14:06Wow.
14:08And could you imagine?
14:09And a rich are just going to get richer.
14:11I mean, they ended up getting with the last pick last night, a future left tackle that
14:17had been injured.
14:19But everyone says in two years, three years is going to be an absolute monster.
14:22So the rich keep getting richer there, Donnie.
14:26That's the way to go here.
14:28But I love it.
14:28Talking NFL draft, you get to recoup on day number two.
14:31And then guess what?
14:32You do it again for day number three and the sports grid network has you covered.
14:39Right back in baby.
14:40It's our number three.
14:41Are you refreshed?
14:42Are you rested?
14:42Are you ready?
14:43And how quickly the information goes through in those first two hours, which we just got
14:47the ice advice.
14:48Now in our number three, we bring it all together, which includes a lot of major league baseball
14:52talk.
14:53But center stage tonight, once again, Joe Ranieri, that is the NFL draft and round number two
15:00is on deck, big names still on the board, quarterbacks to decipher where they're going
15:05to go.
15:05Dreams and minted millionaires are what we expect.
15:09So Joe, hour number three, I expect nothing but the best from you here.
15:14I am ready for it.
15:17Much like, well, unlike Shador Sanders, who was not ready not to hear his name.
15:21I am ready here, Donnie.
15:23I am ready to roll in this hour.
15:25Let's get it going and kudos to the Cleveland Browns.
15:30If they do go with Shador, he wouldn't have had to wait that much longer.
15:35The Browns on the clock to start the draft in prime time tonight.
15:38We always like to say the sports grid network is exactly the place that you need to be.
15:42Coverage will start at draft time.
15:45Once again, the boys will be in the room breaking down each and every pick handicaps along with
15:49it.
15:49So make sure you're tuning in tonight to our central coverage right here.
15:53Now, let's get to what the people want to talk about, because we are a show, Joe, that
15:57likes to reach out and say, you know what?
15:59Let's be interactive.
16:00What do you feel?
16:01And also, if we should be fading the public.
16:03So our question today on our sports grid account on X, the question was, which quarterback will
16:09have a better NFL career?
16:11The two choices listed, one's drafted, one's undrafted.
16:15That first choice, Jackson Dart of the New York Giants.
16:18The number two choice here, Shadour Sanders of, we'll find out a little bit later today
16:23as we anticipate.
16:25If we look at the statistics coming in from the public here, Jackson Dart at close to 75%
16:32currently through a couple hundred votes.
16:34Shadour Sanders at around 25%.
16:37So I'm going to ask you this question, Joe Ranieri, which quarterback will have a better
16:41NFL career in your mind?
16:43And they haven't even played a snap yet.
16:44Well, you and I both know, Donnie, that quarterbacks are an interesting position, and you're a product
16:53of your environment, a lot of these guys.
16:55I mean, look at Sam Darnold, okay?
16:57You gave him Adam Gase when he came into the league.
17:00How did that work out for him?
17:02But then all of a sudden, he goes to O'Connell in Minnesota, and now all of a sudden, the guy
17:06has got a resurrected career.
17:07We've seen this time and time again.
17:09I think the risk with Jackson Dart is, will Dable be there next year, Donnie?
17:16True.
17:16Or is he going to have to go through another head coach and offensive coordinator?
17:21That's the risk.
17:22I think it all depends on where Shadour Sanders lands.
17:25If he goes to the Rams and he gets McVay, then my answer will, without a doubt, be Shadour
17:32Sanders will have a much better NFL career.
17:35I think it is simple like that, too, because usually what happens, right, on bad football
17:41teams, and the Giants are a bad football team, like the new coach comes in, picks his quarterback,
17:46GM on the same page, you go, you're going to have two to three years to grow with this
17:50guy, and as long as we're going in the right direction, you might have a long and prosperous
17:54career together here.
17:55That's what comes up where it's not as if Jackson Dart isn't a talent.
17:59He played in the SEC.
18:00Lane Kiffin was his coach.
18:01He's going to be schooled for the NFL, which is a good thing.
18:04But if you're coming into a situation, like, understand this, what happens if the Giants
18:08don't play Jackson Dart this year, and he's learning the system under Brian Dable, and
18:13it's just, you know, Russ that's going to be the starting quarterback, or Jameis Winston,
18:17let's say.
18:17They get fired, and a new coach comes in, he goes, I would have drafted Shadour Sanders
18:21and not Jackson Dart.
18:23Like, you can sort of, like, mess up a career just that quick, where you might not have the
18:27leverage to say, I have a couple years in the system to apply my craft.
18:30And also, Joe, it's not as if Jackson Dart was the number one overall pick in a surefire
18:34Hall of Fame, where, like, that's my franchise guy.
18:36Late in the first round with a quarterback you have to trade up to get, you're sort of
18:39taking a flyer that you think down the road he can be the guy.
18:43But anybody who's in any environment, I don't care if it's a sales environment, where one
18:47guy comes in and teaches you this way to sell, he gets canned, and the next guy goes,
18:51I don't know, we're hard selling here now here.
18:53We're not going to have the sauce.
18:54I was like, man, I just learned something completely new.
18:56Now I have to change?
18:57That could be Jackson Dart.
18:58But it is interesting.
18:59Like, how overwhelming?
19:01Is it just hate?
19:02Because we had a Shadour question yesterday as well, where it didn't work out here for
19:05him either.
19:06Like, 75%, let's just say, are saying that Dart's going to be the better quarterback.
19:10Going to the Giants?
19:11At this point, then, we don't even know where Shadour's going, and it might be a great
19:14landing spot.
19:15It's crazy.
19:16He is getting so much hate here in D-Number 2, heading into the draft.
19:20Well, you know, listen, because a lot of the other questions besides the physical attributes,
19:27right, and his inability, doesn't have great arm strength, is not going to be elusive.
19:33We're not talking about a Lamar Jackson type of situation here.
19:37It's going to be even more important for Shadour Sanders to land in a place he can be successful.
19:42But the other big issue we kept hearing about with him, Donnie, was how dedicated is he to
19:49being an NFL quarterback and a franchise leader?
19:52I mean, this is, we talked, we laughed about it earlier.
19:54The dude was driving a Bentley on the campus in Colorado.
19:58Like, what is the motivation for this guy?
20:01It's not to feed his family.
20:03So, I mean, what exactly is the motivation for him to do anything other than be like,
20:08nah, I'm out of here.
20:09You know, I got, you know, he can do anything he wants at this point, but is being an NFL
20:14quarterback and a leader one of them?
20:16I think that's the big question mark.
20:18There is a lot of question marks too, but it's just so funny.
20:20Like, Shadour Sanders, again, is a lightning rod at this point right now, but we keep on
20:24like asking the question out there and it keeps coming back like, no, anything you ask us
20:28about Shadour Sanders, we're going to have a negative impact upon it.
20:31Because understand this, this question wasn't who will have the better quarterback in career.
20:35Cam Ward, who went number one overall, and then Shadour is going undrafted.
20:38Of course, the number one overall pick, you have confidence that he's the best guy in
20:42the draft and he should have a prosperous career at 75 to 25.
20:46But this is Jackson Dart, who was rising up the boards, a lot of question marks, and going
20:50to a questionable franchise right now with a questionable general manager, owner, and
20:54a head coach that's even getting the benefit of the doubt where we don't know who Shadour
20:58is going.
20:58Now, let me ask you this question.
21:00If it is the Cleveland Browns that draft Shadour Sanders, it's still Kevin Stefanski.
21:04And last time I checked around, the league has a pretty good MO here for being an offensive
21:08guy and also multiple time coach of the year.
21:10Like, what is the prognosis where, where can Shadour go sit for you today that goes,
21:15yup, Jackson Dart's going to have a way better career than this guy.
21:18Is there a team that you absolutely see that he can't go to, which is why the fans and I
21:23should have said the public are reacting this way?
21:26Yes, Cleveland.
21:27I can't think of a worse fit than a blue-collar city like Cleveland or Pittsburgh.
21:33First of all, I don't think he is built to win games in December in the AFC North.
21:37He's 6'1", 2'12", and he doesn't have great arm strength.
21:41So I don't care how accurate you are, you're not going to go on the road to Baltimore or
21:47to Pittsburgh and win games if you can't throw it in 30-mile-an-hour winds.
21:51So I definitely think it would be a mistake for Cleveland or anybody in the AFC North.
21:58He needs a warm weather.
22:00He needs an indoor.
22:02He needs a, you know, he needs a coach, too, that is going to be willing to work with him
22:09to get him to that point.
22:10I don't think he needs the pressure of coming in and having to be the number one guy.
22:15Listen, it goes to Cleveland, that's it.
22:17That's all they're going to hear about is him having to be the starter.
22:20And Stefanski, like you said, could be a lame duck coach.
22:23What, are you going to have to throw him in there now?
22:25Like, it makes no sense to me for Cleveland to draft him at all.
22:29They have so many other needs.
22:31They'll figure the quarterback in the third or fourth round.
22:34Don't forget Quinn, yours is available.
22:36There's a lot of other iffy quarterbacks available in this draft that you don't have
22:40to have the circus surrounding them when you draft them.
22:44And also, it's not overwhelming in Shadour's favor, too, because let's understand this.
22:49We talked about the Cleveland Browns have two picks in the top four in the second round.
22:53And this, they do need a quarterback.
22:55And we're saying, like, if it's not the guy, they don't want to overreach for him.
22:57But the talking points are that he probably will end up.
23:00But how about this?
23:01The 33rd overall pick, which right now sits with the Cleveland Browns, he's only a minus 140.
23:06And then you see the team to draft him is the Cleveland Browns at only a minus 160 price.
23:11So let's just say that the overwhelming thought would be is if they wanted him, yes, he'd be
23:16a minus 250, minus 260.
23:18And then as the word gets out a little bit later, start to increase that.
23:21But it is kind of telling that this is no forgive and gone conclusion that, oh, man, the Browns
23:25fell right to him in their round number one or round number two, I should say, or even
23:29four picks later.
23:30This would be interesting to come down because I want to see if he's actually the first quarterback
23:34taken off the board in round number two.
23:36Because then if he isn't, boy, the questions are really starting to come up.
23:39Where does he actually land?
23:41Which team wants him?
23:42And also, is there smoke?
23:43There's fire where teams were just avoiding him altogether.
23:46We'll find out right away.
23:48And the Cleveland Browns probably let us know immediately in round number two.
23:53All right.
23:54Welcome back in here.
23:55The early line on this Friday.
23:58I'm Joe Ranieri.
23:59It's been a pleasure to get to spend this morning with you.
24:03And we're excited because we've got much more coming up here on this Friday.
24:07Now, as the end of April is almost upon us, but the NFL draft will take center stage here
24:15coming up seven o'clock Eastern time tonight.
24:17In fact, we'll have another special edition of the in-game live draft central for you at
24:24seven o'clock Eastern as the big question will remain, which team will draft Shadaw Sanders
24:31in the second round.
24:34And the answers and the odds are pretty interesting across the board.
24:39I don't think it's a great fit for the Cleveland Browns.
24:44The idea of a six-foot-one, 212-pound Shadaw Sanders without a great arm playing on the road
24:51in Pittsburgh or Baltimore in December and January, that does not excite me.
24:58Quite honestly, if I'm Shadaw Sanders, that's not the place that I want to go.
25:03But the odds-on favorite is where will Shadaw Sanders be drafted or who will draft him.
25:09It's heavy to the Cleveland Browns.
25:12But I think the Raiders are alive.
25:15I think the Saints are alive.
25:17And don't sleep on the L.A. Rams.
25:21I don't think it's a coincidence, by the way, that the Giants moved up a spot last night at
25:28the end of round one to jump in and grab Jackson Dart because the team they jumped in order to
25:34get him was the L.A. Rams, who I have no doubt, and the Giants must have had no doubt, that Coach
25:42McVeigh and company would have selected him.
25:45Don't forget, he started his career.
25:47He's a Southern Cal guy.
25:48He was at USC before he ended up at Ole Miss there.
25:53So he is, I'm pretty sure the Giants thought that Jackson Dart was not going to be around
25:59if the Rams had an opportunity to draft him.
26:02And the Rams have a situation where they have Matt Stafford, he's 37 years old.
26:07How much longer is he going to play here?
26:10So now would be the time if they can go and get a quarterback.
26:13And I think that would be a great fit for Shador Sanders, no pressure to have to start
26:19and carry a team.
26:20You get to spend a year or so behind, you know, Matt Stafford, future Hall of Famer.
26:26I don't see the downside in that.
26:28I see a lot of downside.
26:29If Kevin Stefanski, who I think we can all agree is probably at some point a lame duck coach
26:35here for the Browns, you're going to get drafted by them.
26:38And what, Joe Flacco is the guy that is going to, or Kenny Pickett is the guy that he's going
26:45to learn from.
26:46I think it's a bad situation that will only get worse if the Browns dive in on Shador Sanders.
26:53But they will have that first pick.
26:56They'll have a couple of picks in the first five of the second round where if they want
27:01him, they can go and get him.
27:04But I'd be much more happy as a Cleveland Browns fan if Jalen Milrow was the quarterback decision
27:11that they decided to go in.
27:13I think his running ability, I think his size, I think that fits well for the Browns.
27:21Shador Sanders is going somewhere here today.
27:24But I think his future success has a lot depending on who he goes to.
27:31And by the way, the Jets are within the top 10 also of the second round.
27:36Maybe just maybe the Jets take a flyer on him.
27:40And boy, oh boy, could you imagine Shador Sanders with the New York media?
27:44Wow.
27:44That seems like a absolute bust out the popcorn kind of moment.
27:49So we've got plenty going on with the NFL draft tonight.
27:53We have, of course, three more NBA playoff games that Donnie and I just broke down for
27:59you here tonight.
28:00I really do think that the Orlando Magic early in the first half on the money line of plus
28:07money, not a bad way to go.
28:09They have won the first or covered the first halves in both games in Boston.
28:15They won the first half outright.
28:17In fact, in game one, they covered getting six points in the first half.
28:23In game two, they covered that.
28:25I think at home, they are going to be a tough out here for a Boston team that is likely without
28:31Jason Tatum.
28:33And then, of course, full Major League Baseball slate.
28:36Get ready to start here at two o'clock Eastern time.
28:40The Cubs and the Phillies will be going at it to start the day.
28:44And we have got you covered across the Sports Grid Network today, whether it be the NHL Stanley
28:51Cup playoffs also in full effect here tonight.
28:54There is no reason, and I mean no reason, for you to have to go anywhere.
28:58We have got you covered.
29:00I'll be back a little bit later tonight for game time decisions to hang with you.
29:04We'll have updates on all the games across the board, getting ready for a full slate.
29:10In the meantime, enjoy the day.
29:12Enjoy your weekend.
29:13The O-9 be back on Monday.
29:15Good luck.
