00:00Thank you very much.
00:03We have Jonas Garsturis here, who is the, as you know,
00:08the Prime Minister of Norway.
00:10He's a great gentleman, highly respected,
00:13beloved in this country.
00:15And we've had talks on the war with Ukraine,
00:19Russia, and trade.
00:22We're doing very well, I think, on both.
00:24We've had some pretty good movement in every respect.
00:29The war is very important that it ends with,
00:32I used to say, 2,500 people a week, dying young people,
00:37mostly soldiers from Russia and Ukraine.
00:41And we want to end that war.
00:44We want to end it quickly.
00:46And I think we've made a long, a lot of progress.
00:49And we'll see what happens.
00:50This next few days is going to be very important.
00:53Meetings are taking place right now.
00:56Additionally, we talked about trade.
00:59And we will definitely, we get along very well on trade.
01:04We'll do something.
01:05But I think the Prime Minister knows that, over the years,
01:09the United States has been very good to a lot of people.
01:13And it's time for us to benefit also.
01:18So we're going to have a good relationship on trade.
01:20And we discussed other things also.
01:23But, Mr. Prime Minister, it's an honor to have you at the White House.
01:26Thank you very much.
01:28Prime Minister Prasad- Well, thank you, Mr. President.
01:29This is, this year is 200 years since the first immigration
01:33from Norway to the U.S.
01:35We come here early in your term.
01:37Appreciate that you take time.
01:39We have highlighted that very close cooperation.
01:42We are allies.
01:43We look after security in the North, in the Arctic,
01:46a lot of confidence between our services.
01:49We have discussed in detail the war in Ukraine.
01:53I have saluted the President for his initiative
01:56to make progress towards something that can be a ceasefire
02:01and an end to this terrible conflict.
02:02It is a complex picture, but it needs political will and push.
02:06And we have exchanged ideas on that.
02:08And then I think the President and his team have been open
02:11to hear our perspectives and on trade.
02:15We have also emphasized that we can benefit, both of us,
02:20by trading, we can be complementary,
02:23and we can find good solutions.
02:26But first of all, I appreciate, Mr. President,
02:27the spirit and the tone of this conversation,
02:29which has been confirmation of a very strong partnership.
02:33Prime Minister Prasad- Thank you very much.
02:35Appreciate it.
