West Brom's search for Tony Mowbray's successor is well underway - with owners Bilkul taking their time to make the right appointment.
Mowbray was axed on Easter Monday after a rotten run of results had seen Albion slip out of contention for a play-off spot.
Earlier this week, the Express & Star reported that the owners Bilkul will look to a youthful head coach as they target a fresh start with a hunger to succeed for the new campaign.
However, with Albion's season all but over with two games remaining, they will not rush into an appointment.
Jonny Drury and Lewis Cox discussed the managerial search on the latest episode of the Baggies Broadcast this week.
And they looked at the pressure that is now on Bilkul and owner Shilen Patel to get the appointment right - after the Mowbray situation.

00:00Now, you know, you can kind of maybe give them a bit of grace.
00:04They missed out on their first target.
00:05They went for Mowbray.
00:07You know, someone who everyone wanted to work, experienced the work at a level.
00:10It just hasn't worked for one way or another.
00:12You know, I'll keep putting in the players have got their responsibility for a lot of it as well.
00:17Now, though, for me, there is a lot of pressure on this appointment now.
00:24And we talked about this off podcast.
00:25They have to strike the right note with this appointment.
00:31It has to kind of work because if it doesn't, and, you know, October, November time,
00:37I'll be in a languishing, you know, after another good summer of recruitment.
00:41Yeah, where do you go?
00:43Where do you go from there, you know?
00:45And what do you do?
00:46Do you pull the plug straight away then?
00:48You know, do you risk then going down there?
00:50You know, it would take a long, long time and a lot of sackings to get to that point.
00:54But are you in the realms of a Watford there where you're changing the manager all the time?
00:58You know, I don't quite think that will happen.
01:00I'm pretty confident they will go and get this right.
01:04But there is a lot of pressure.
01:05Make no bones about it.
01:07They've made a big call here.
01:09And they've got to get this next one right.
01:12Yeah, Watford's an extreme example, isn't it?
01:14Because they're the craziest club around.
01:16And actually, I've had Cleverley in charge for a year now, which must feel absolutely alien to them.
01:21But, yeah, you're right.
01:23The point is, you know, a manager comes in the summer.
01:25And if it's not gone well by October and November and you're down in lower mid-table, bottom half,
01:32clubs tend to act, don't they, really?
01:35Look, unless they're going to make this a big project and say, you know,
01:38this is the man for three years, blah, blah, blah.
01:41But, obviously, you know, like with Mowbray, fans will have a voice and vote.
01:46And if they don't like what they're seeing, if results are dictating, then, yeah.
01:51Yeah, you're right.
01:52They're a huge call to make with Tony.
01:54And, look, some kudos for doing it with two games left.
01:59Initially, I think the both of us, but I think others were probably a bit stunned with the timing.
02:05Maybe just after the game, just after the presser.
02:07You don't really get that often, do you?
02:10But actually doing it with two games left, having that.
02:15This two weeks now needs to be used, really, to sift through most of it, really.
02:22You know, there's no, like, oh, we'll just sort of do the basics and then start after May the 3rd
02:31when it comes to, like, sifting through the ones we want.
02:34You know, they need to use this time.
02:35And when you're looking at the, certainly by the middle of May, you'd hope they need
02:41to be there, really, to give it as much time and as much opportunity to tell the new man
02:46X is being released, Y is being released, Z is being released.
02:50You know, A, B and C have got one year left on the deal.
02:52We want them out, you know, off the wage bill or whatever.
02:57Yeah, that's the time.
02:58And it's, you know, it's a big, we said it just there, didn't we, what Andrew Nesta said,
03:02the third window of the squad's rebuild.
03:06And I understand why he was, you know, why he's saying that.
03:08And there's a lot to do.
03:10Mowbray said, didn't he, yesterday in his final press conference before he left.
03:16And bear in mind, Mowbray doesn't do the recruitment.
03:18Bill could.
03:19He said, he sees five or six players needed.
03:22And that's probably not, that might not sound like a busy summer, but I think he means players
03:27that can play there, you know.
03:30Or starters, they need, yeah, starters, they need players, arguably more players, yeah.
03:33And that's not just, yeah, yeah.
03:36And that's not just on quality, Johnny, that's on all the things lacking in terms of minerals,
03:40really.
03:41But how much can you do in a window?
03:43Obviously, you're not going to get all of those five, six signings right.
03:46You know, you might get a Frobota.
03:49You know, or whatever.
03:52I realise each case is a different example, but hopefully they can find more of an Isaac
03:59Price or maybe more of a Stiles or, you know, Banny, who knows on that one.
04:05But there are...
04:06Like you say, they've got a big summer on all fronts because if they don't kind of get
04:09the recruitment right and they don't get this appointment right, then Bill could have
04:14got an awful lot of credibility in the bank because of what's happened, the way they've
04:18taken over the club, the way they've kind of saved the club from what's going on in the
04:22lie, you know, the money that they've put in, the debt that they've paid off in terms
04:26of the loans and stuff, etc.
04:28And the investment that's gone in, there's a lot of credibility there.
04:31But that, like I said, if this decision isn't right, that is slowly or slightly chipped away
04:38at.
04:39We don't want to be in that position then.
04:40Yeah, it's separate, isn't it?
04:42Obviously, you know, everybody appreciates that they, you know, they were the white knights,
04:46you know, they saved the club.
04:47Like, that's the bottom line and the most important thing.
04:51But then a separate section to that is the football decisions, isn't it?
04:55The football structure and the leadership of it.
04:57And obviously, they want to be making right decisions because if not, just won't be where
05:03they want to be in the table.
05:04They'll be paying off managers, you know, putting players on contract who are no good.
05:08So, yeah, a lot of rides on it.
