On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, four young males attempted to break into La Chingada, a Mexican restaurant in Euston, London, using a tool to open the door at 5:32 a.m.

The group fled when a hotel staff member heard the noise and scared them off. CCTV footage later revealed the suspects' faces, as they hadn’t bothered to wear masks.

While nothing was stolen, the restaurant owner, Walter Opitz, had to spend £700 to repair the door.

Other restaurants have reported similar incidents, and the police are investigating the attempted burglary.

The restaurant has shared the footage to raise awareness of vulnerabilities for small businesses.
