After the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, panic has spread among tourists across the region. Many, especially from Maharashtra, began looking for immediate ways to return home due to growing fear and uncertainty. Responding swiftly, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached Srinagar late at night to personally assist in the evacuation efforts.Scenes from Srinagar airport captured Shinde standing alongside stranded tourists, offering reassurance, and helping them board a special flight back to Maharashtra. He was seen interacting with citizens, motivating them to remain calm, and ensuring a smooth return for those affected. A special flight with 75 passengers was arranged, with Shinde accompanying them to the airport, highlighting his direct involvement in the relief operation.Shinde stated, “My work is 24x7. What happened in Pahalgam has left people frightened, so it’s my duty to stand with them.” His timely action and on-ground presence have drawn praise for being compassionate and efficient during a crisis.The Maharashtra government has also announced continuous support for any citizen currently in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring their safety and timely return.
