01:48Around the world, senior officials and people have paid tribute to Pope Francis on Tuesday,
02:01the day after the Vatican announced the 88-year-old party feed date.
02:06Do you think it was very outspoken on issues, especially yesterday's message about Gaza and Israel and Ukraine and Russia?
02:15And I think his message to political leaders is very important.
02:18And I think that the papacy will continue to have influence on more leaders.
02:23Since I don't follow Christianity, but I did know about him and I knew about how big a personality he was for this church.
02:34And so, yeah, I think it's a big loss for not just for the Vatican City, but for the entire world.
02:41I am Muslim. I would say that I am so sorry for the Christian community.
02:46And I would like to say also that I am sure that Christian community will rise from this sad news.
02:52This is so crucial today to come together, all communities, and be as one through these hard times.
03:05When all news now trying to separate us as communities, I think this is a land point to say, let's get together.

04:43Francis, the first Pope in history born in Latin America, had in this region some of the priorities of his pontificate,
04:53but he also found enormous challenges and limitations.
04:56During his visit to Cuba, Francis met with Commander Fidel Castro,
05:00although it was a private meeting,
05:02it was an important moment because of his strong condemnation of the U.S. blockade against the island.
05:07The Supreme Pontiff also played a key role in the diplomatic rapprochement between Havana and Washington.
05:13During his visit to Brazil, the Pope criticized the inaction of the clergy,
05:18called for the recovery of the faithful and asked Catholics to go to the favelas of the cities,
05:23one of which he visited on that occasion.
05:25With gestures such as his support for peace in the region,
05:28Pope Francis gave the Vatican a leading role in peace negotiations such as the case of Colombia
05:33to seek an end to the armed conflict that plagues the country.

06:03two of which directly involved Latin America,
06:06the fall in the number of faithful and sexual abuse scandals within the church.
06:12In this regard, during her morning prize conference, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum
06:17allied Pope Francis' influence on reforms within the Catholic Church
06:22and his critical view of neoliberalism and consumerism.
06:27His was a humanist way of thinking, very progressive let's put it like that,
06:39in the sense of it was always approaching the humblest, the poorest, the forgotten,
06:45calling the whole world to the construction of peace.
06:48Also his criticism of neoliberalism, consumerism, and the recovery of austerity values in his own person
06:56and in general in the Catholic Church.
07:02For his part while addressing the Pope's legacy, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez,
07:08underscore on Tuesday his advocacy for the fight against intolerance.
07:12He was a leader who advocated for the fight against poverty, for a humanistic view of the migration phenomenon,
07:22for the mitigation and adaptation to climate change or against intolerance when it was most needed.
07:28I am convinced that the world will miss his courage, his message, and from Spain we will honor his figure.

10:17without the revolutionary Bolivarian project that Commander Hugo Chavez gave us,
10:22the Bolivarian project that President Nicolas Maduro leads today.
10:27It would be difficult for Venezuela to remain united, dignified, upright, as always, looking to the horizon.

11:16who managed to consolidate peace as an unavailable asset and the fundamental power of which the future of the nation's children is built.
