00:00A new way to wake up. Amy and Sean on 1027 VGS. All right, here's what you need to know today.
00:06Last night, Clark County Commission giving the thumbs up on expanding an existing ordinance
00:10that allows a judge to ban a convicted criminal from the Las Vegas Strip. Now, before it was for
00:17people that were hit up on drug charges or maybe being ladies or gentlemen of the night,
00:21they could be banned for continuing to go there. But now, if it's anything, if you just have a
00:25gambling problem, if you've stolen, whatever the case, they can potentially, judge can say,
00:30you're not allowed on the Las Vegas Strip. Wow. Interesting, isn't it? It's very interesting.
00:34And how are you going to control that? I mean. Come on, folks. They could try. Well, I mean,
00:39they can't. Ultimately, what will happen is you will have been stopped for something. Right. And
00:44they will look you up and say, oh, you're banned. Right. And then you'll find more charges. Which
00:48I'm sure, yeah. I mean, it's just like when people get 86 from casinos, like certain casinos and
00:53things. Yeah. It's like, how are they going to really tell when there's thousands of people in
00:57there every minute? Yeah. But they do a pretty good job of it. The casinos are very good. Yeah.
01:04They got the cameras with the stands and stuff like that. It's like, oh, enhance. Enhance. Yeah.
01:08Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They know. 86, by the way. I heard that doesn't mean eight feet or eight miles
01:14out six feet deep. Have you heard that? 86? Yeah. To get 86. The rumor was, is that means
01:22to, you know, the mob would say, take them eight miles. No, really? And put them six feet
01:26deep. 86. Do you know, that's cool. I'm going to look it up. I, when I started working in
01:31a restaurant and here in town at the restaurant, everybody would say 86 lobster tail, 86 filet,
01:3886. And I thought they were saying there's only 86 left. So forever, I was like, how do
01:44they know? And like, by the time I tell this person, it might be 84 at that point. Like,
01:48so for the longest time. Guys, we only have like 72 left right now. Oh my gosh. So funny.
01:56That's pretty funny. Very sad news in the world of major league baseball. You a Dodgers fan
02:01and all? I'm, I'm a sports fan. You know, Vince Scully is God. Like that is the voice of baseball.
02:08Yeah. He was the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers for two thirds of his life. And he just passed
02:14away yesterday at the age of 94. He was the voice of the Dodgers since the 1950s. Crazy. And
02:22he retired in 2016. He was there the entire time. This was his most famous call. If you've
02:27never heard Vince Scully before, but you've seen baseball, chances are you've heard this
02:31voice. And look who's coming up. All year long, they look to him to light the fire. And
02:38all year long, he answered the demand. High fly ball into right field. She is gone.
02:46Oh, I got chills. I know. In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has
02:55happened. I literally have chills up my spine during that. Honestly, whether you're a baseball
03:01fan, Dodgers fan, just sports in general, I mean, legendary. That is from the 1988 World
03:07Series. The 1988 World Series. And man, he could still do a call up until the very, very
03:12end. He had a great Twitter account too. What a sweetheart, man. 94 years old, Ben Scully
03:16passing away. And then finally, back to the Boulevard, Las Vegas side of Las Vegas Boulevard.
03:22You know those two, right when you pass the stratosphere and you got those two tall ladies,
03:28the 25-foot showgirls that are right there at the corner of the Boulevard and Main Street.
03:32Uh-huh. Out, gone, evicted down the street. They're going to Arts District because they're
03:37replacing them with 50-foot showgirls. Wow. They just got there recently. Wow. So they're
03:45going to be 50 feet tall, standing on top of martini glasses, hovering over a roulette wheel
03:50and the whole nine yards. That's cool. It is cool. It's very expensive. Like, where are
03:54they getting the sign money? I know. I know. Gosh. Who knows? I don't know. It's probably
03:59all that, uh, all the, what is it? The property taxes, the 8% property. I know that's the county,
04:04but still, yikes.
