00:00Yesterday, I told you on the show, I did like the New York Mets in the game yesterday.
00:03Looked like they were going to walk to an easy victory.
00:06Didn't turn out that way because of that ninth inning, which then also blew the under in that
00:09game. I do think the Philadelphia Phillies are in for a bounce back spot tonight because
00:12Christopher Sanchez has been really good this season. Last year was spectacular through 776
00:17batters faced. This year, we're at the 100 marker here, which is great. So as we start to get some
00:22of these pitching statistics built up over April and May, you get a better feel for the rest of
00:26the season. But looking at those 101 batter Sanchez has faced, a K rate of 31%. That's great.
00:32You take a little walk rate under 6%. That's fantastic. A total ISO of 161, which is right
00:37about average, but a 308 weighted on base percentage, which is below average. You like to see that.
00:42Also on the season, out of the 30 pitchers today on the card, I have Christopher Sanchez with his
00:47XFIP number, Ben, at number two overall through 24 and a third innings pitch in ERA of 2.96 and an
00:53XFIP of 2.55. That is spectacular. Now on the other side, you're still going to get a pretty
00:58good pitching performance out of Griffin Canning. Last year, not so good. This year, a little bit
01:02better, but he has struggled with right-handed batters, which would mean Trey Turner lineup,
01:06Nick Castellanos, maybe JT Romuto or an Alec Boehm, who has struggled to start this season.
01:10But Canning hasn't been too bad either, Ben. 21 innings pitch this season, a 3.43 ERA and a 3.64
01:17XFIP number. So a slightly better pitching performance than I'm expected for the Phillies
01:21in a bounce-back effort. I liked the Mets last night. I liked the Phillies tonight
01:25with Sanchez as the favorite on the mound.
