Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) held a press briefing on Tuesday, where he was asked about his call with President Trump.
Transcript
00:00Yeah, I appreciated that the president called called me kind of mid-morning on Saturday.
00:10I actually didn't take his call because it came from his cell phone and I didn't have that number
00:17in my phone. So I didn't know who it was. As soon as I heard his message, I called him right back.
00:23He was very gracious. He asked how Laurie and the kids were doing.
00:26Talked for a couple of minutes about what transpired at the residence.
00:31And then we talked about for maybe the next 15 minutes or so about a whole host of other topics.
00:38Obviously, I'm not going to get into our private conversation here, but he's attuned to the issues that are important to me.
00:45I, of course, know the issues that are important to him, and we agreed to stay in touch going forward.
