01:10Lengenfelder gets a good jump on the inside, the KTM's both getting away very well, but it looks like Lengenfelder, and just behind him the number 19 of Sascha Kernan, another lightning start from the young Belgian, Kernan down the inside, brilliant move from him there, snatching the lead from his teammate Lengenfelder drops to second position to warm him third, looks like Benistan's got away well,
01:40good start there from Sascha Kernan leaping down the inside of his teammate Lengenfelder, looks like a relatively clean start in the opening corners, all of the front runners in terms of the championship got away fairly well,
01:50Lengenfelder in 6th place, Sankey 7th latter in 8th position, didn't quite get the drive he wanted from that inside gate, but still looking very good in the top 10.
02:00Lengenfelder in 10th position, well Benistan, another rider who didn't quite get the start he wanted, he's in 11th position from his factory Yamaha teammate Rizalis, premieres and Rickelsing at 14th position,
02:14Sascha Lamani, a little bit further behind there, Kasvold also filling up the points further down the field, Sascha Kernan trying to break away in these early stages, the young Belgian who has been lightning fast on the start, certainly got the pace,
02:30but, as we've seen many times over the last couple of seasons, has been prone to the odd mistake or two, so he'll be hoping to try and keep it upright,
02:40Arles making a small mistake with the cuts there, but Kermen, just trying to break away in these early stages, from two Moto to Grand Prix victories last year,
02:51they've gone through to the King of the Championship, missed some rounds later in the season due to the injury.
02:59A very good start as he keeps ahead of his more experienced teammates, someone Lengenfelder in 2nd place,
03:04Kaido Wolf, the red plate holder running well in 3rd, there's Leon Evertz with Andrew Radama right on his tail as they make their way through at the end of the 1st lap.
03:11Cam McClellan shadowing there, just a little bit further behind in 6th position, very strong in the early stages,
03:17so certainly all of the Championship front runners getting good starts, staying out of trouble,
03:22and Lengenfelder just keeping the pressure on his young teammate Kernan at the front,
03:28but he can't afford to relax here, because Kaido Wolf, reigning champion from Valkensvaard in the Netherlands,
03:37putting the pressure on the Bavarian, Lengenfelder in 2nd place,
03:42and the Wolf just starting to pull away momentarily from his teammate Evertz in the opening stage,
03:47as you can see on the tail of Evertz is the orange Red Bull KTM of Andrew Radama,
03:53who's just looking to try and get some sweeping lines on the outside, putting Evertz under real pressure here.
03:58Through the off-cambered left-hander, the downhill drop into the flat part of the track here.
04:06A little bit of off-camber on the ball section, this part's a lot flatter.
04:12Through the ruts they go, and Evertz, I think he knows that Adamo's there,
04:17McClellan shadowing just a little bit further behind.
04:20Just starting to lose a little bit of touch on the leading group in these early stages.
04:25Trying to maintain the 1-second gap at the front, and McClellan just starting to put a little bit of pressure on Adamo.
04:33McClellan, of course, who won his first ever moto victory last weekend at Trentino,
04:40and the first time a British mark had won in Grand Prix motocross since 1969.
04:46Triumph, of course, the modern iteration of Triumph only been in existence for 40 years.
04:53The name bought off the receivers of the former Triumph company, and they've made a real inroads in the off-road scrambler type of market,
05:03then less than five years ago developing an all-new motocross bike.
05:08Legendary Ricky Carmichael serving as a brand ambassador for Triumph, and they really have made inroads into world motocross as Adamo takes a tumble.
05:18So I'll drop him. Didn't look like anything too serious, and I think he has got away in eighth position just behind Valerio Lata and Carlos Reisler.
05:28Let's have a look at that again. He's on the tail of Evertz here.
05:31And, oh, just a struggle for traction on the inside line rut. It's a little bit slick and slippery underneath the watered topsoil.
05:41There is the possibility of some rain later on, but the organizers putting a little bit of water down on the circuit ahead of this first moto just to keep the dust at bay.
05:50But what that does mean is it makes it very tricky on the topsoil as we saw De Wolf there at the back end of the Husqvarna spinning up there as he squared the turnoff.
05:59And De Wolf who was starting to pressurize Langenfelder in the early stages just appears to be dropping back as McClellan has a look at Evertz,
06:07but he's not going to get the line through the right-handed sweep past the pit area, and Evertz holds on to fourth position.
06:15So Kaida Wolf just starting to drop back on Langenfelder, who's settling into quite a nice rhythm here, chasing his teammate Sasha Kernan.
06:23Kernan with the fastest lap of the race, 139.955.
06:27And Evertz, meanwhile, is coming under a bit more pressure from McClellan, who is settling into the race quite nicely here.
06:34And McClellan aiming to become the first South African world champion since Tyler Atre back in 2008.
06:44He certainly has gelled very well with the all-new Triumph machine, looked good in 2024.
06:51And, like we were saying, took his first ever Moto victory last weekend at Trentino.
06:56He was unlucky in the second Moto taking a nasty tumble where he had to fight back.
07:01And grabbed some points in 16th position in Moto number two.
07:05Larry O'Latta.
07:08The MX250 runner-up last year, certainly the breakout star in MX2 for 2025.
07:14And this is another good result for him so far as he fends off the number 172 of Kaas Valk.
07:23Who lit up the British motocross scene last year, racing in the domestic championships in Great Britain.
07:29And certainly looking like a force to be reckoned with for the Dutch in eighth position.
07:33He's still ahead of Andrew Adama. He should just see him there. He is just behind the 172.
07:37Adama recovering from that small spill a couple of laps ago.
07:40And he's keeping Carlos Rizalas ahead of him at the moment.
07:43The young Latvian currently in 10th position.
07:46Lovia in 11th place. Maxime Groen.
07:49He's still in 12th position right now from Rick Elzinger.
07:51They want Benestat not getting the start he would have wanted.
07:53He's down in 14th position.
07:55Julius Michele, the Czech rider on the TM, currently in 15th position.
07:59The Italian mark making a comeback to Grand Prix racing in 2025.
08:04Michele just ahead of the local Swiss star, Mike Cuerta, currently in 16th position.
08:10But the Swiss have already had some things to shout about earlier on this weekend
08:15with Nico Grootman taking third on the EMX 250 podium.
08:20And they'll be looking forward to see how Jeremy Seaver gets on a bit later on in MXGP.
08:25But back to the front of MX2.
08:27And it's starting to get tight at the front here.
08:30Battle between the teammates.
08:32Red Bull KTM one and two right now with Sascha Koenern getting to the lead early on.
08:37Lengenfelder has settled into rhythm quite nicely here.
08:40And he's just starting to ask questions of his young Belgian teammate.
08:44Lengenfelder just looking on the inside there.
08:50Nothing going, but he's shadowing the back wheel.
08:52Of course, they are teammates, so they can't get too close in the corners.
08:55And they've got to keep the bar banging to a minimum here.
08:57But at the same time, Simon Lengenfelder only 13 points down on Kyde Wolf in the title race going into this motor.
09:04Oh, he just got a little bit squirrelly over the acceleration bumps there, but didn't lose any time.
09:10But Lengenfelder, he can see a first motor win presenting itself here if he can get past his teammate.
09:20So this could be very good news for the German in second place.
09:24Respective pick crews both sides of the Red Bull KTM awning urging their riders on here.
09:32Lengenfelder, it seems, just taking his time here.
09:3521 minutes plus the two laps to go.
09:37So time is on Lengenfelder's side as he keeps the pressure on Koenner at the front.
09:42And Lengenfelder just starting to look for lines here as he makes his way over the Monster Energy Jump.
09:52Koenner on his part determined not to give the lead up lightly, but Lengenfelder trying the outside line there.
09:56Koenner should have the line out of the corner, but better traction from Lengenfelder from the outside line.
10:01He'll have the right-hander here and gets the wheel in front.
10:04Nice move there from Simon Lengenfelder to take the lead.
10:07So it's still KTM one and two for the Red Bull riders.
10:13The third rider in the team, Andrea Adamo, currently in ninth place.
10:18Like many of the riders have said, overtaking can be difficult on this Rarenfeld circuit.
10:24So Adamo down in ninth, he does have some work to do here,
10:28but that will not bother Lengenfelder who really could see an opportunity to try and close that gap on Kaede Wolf in the title race.
10:35If he can just stay ahead and especially if Koenner can stay in second place,
10:41taking the points away from DeWolf, it would certainly keep Lengenfelder in close contention for the world title.
10:48There's Kaede Wolf.
10:50So it's Red Bull factory KTM one and two.
10:54Nistan Husqvarna factory team three and four with DeWolf and Evertz.
10:58The Dutch and the Belgian rider.
11:02Evertz, of course, had that second Moto DNF last weekend at Trentino when he caught the back wheel of Kaede Wolf on the second corner.
11:10Damage to the throttle cable meant that the bike would not be able to continue and Evertz was out of the race on the second corner.
11:16So he sits 30 points behind his teammate in the title race.
11:20Still a long way to go, of course, in MX2 for 2025.
11:25But Evertz really does need to try and claw those points back.
11:28Staying smooth in fourth place.
11:33Keeping the pressure on DeWolf and he's fending off McClellan for the time being.
11:40McClellan just dropping behind a little bit, just by a couple of seconds or so.
11:43As Kaede Wolf tries to close up on Koenner in second position.
11:47So Koenner still second place, DeWolf third. Evertz the rider we're looking at now.
11:53Number 26 currently in fourth place, McClellan fifth.
11:56Guilherme Farah is looking well in sixth position.
12:00The number 99 on the second rider of the Monster Energy Triumph team.
12:06So both Triumphs in the top ten at the moment.
12:09Andrea Damos still there in ninth place behind Karlsvalk.
12:13Riesel is 10th.
12:14Olivia 11th and Rick El-Zinger down in 12th position right now from Maxime Groh.
12:19Beniston and Mike Werder, the Swiss rider, still in 15th place.
12:23Evertz not letting his teammate get away here.
12:26Liam Evertz, of course, looking to try and become the first triple generation world champion with both his father and grandfather form world champions themselves.
12:38Let's have a look at the start again.
12:40Sasha Koenner with a brilliant drive down the middle of the gate.
12:44But Lengenfelder had the line out of the corner.
12:47You can see what a spectacular start we have here at Fraunfeld.
12:51Very short start straight into the first corner.
12:5460 metres into that first corner.
12:56Little bit of bar banging on the first corner.
12:58One or two riders going down towards the back of the field.
13:01And for the riders, a right-handed first corner can be a little bit more difficult because they need to use the foot for balance in the first corner.
13:10Which means they can't use the rear brake as much as they can in a left-hander.
13:14Which means it can be a little bit more tricky to get a good start.
13:18You've got to really time the braking very well indeed.
13:20Both Lengenfelder and Koenner absolutely nailed that start.
13:24Lengenfelder retaking the lead and just starting to pull away now.
13:28But Sasha Koenner currently sixth in the title race.
13:34He took a moto win in the first round at Argentina.
13:40But he has struggled for consistency since then.
13:42Currently sixth in the title race.
13:43And if he gets second here, this would certainly start to put the pressure back on the front runners.
13:49Who were getting past Benestant in the early title standings after the end of this moto.
13:53Because Benestant currently down in 13th place.
13:56But Sasha Koenner looking just to try and eliminate some of the mistakes.
14:02Demonstrates some of that raw pace that he's shown.
14:04That really earmarks him out as a potential future champion.
14:08Belgium incredibly have not won a world title since 2008.
14:12When Sven Bruegelmann has won the now defunct MX3 World Championship.
14:18And certainly in terms of the MXGP era.
14:21The last Belgian world champion was Steve Ramon back in 2007.
14:27After that dramatic tussle with Josh Coppins that year.
14:29Ramon only winning the one Grand Prix.
14:31But staying consistent as a late season injury.
14:35Meant that Coppins dropped points.
14:37And Ramon took the second of his two world titles.
14:39And going back yet further than that.
14:41It's Liam Evertz's father actually.
14:43Stefan Evertz who won the last of his ten world titles in 2006.
14:47So he would say that Belgium is well overdue a world champion rider.
14:53And there's certainly a nice generation coming through here.
14:56Sasha Kernan and his twin brother Lucas.
14:58Who made the early jump to MXGP.
15:02Liam Evertz looking strong as well.
15:05So for Belgium.
15:07One of the front running nations in world motocross.
15:09Who had some tough times domestically.
15:11A lot of the circuits closing down as well.
15:13And they're certainly hoping that this new generation of rider.
15:16Can maybe deliver them another world title.
15:19Andrew Adamo keeping the pressure on Karlsvalk.
15:22Still only in ninth place here.
15:24And Adamo will be cursing that little mistake at the start of the moto.
15:29Just washing out on the corner.
15:31Overtaking here at Fraunvalk can potentially be quite difficult.
15:35As they fly through the wave section.
15:37And certainly proving to be the case here as Adamo still remaining in ninth position.
15:42And can't get past Karlsvalk.
15:44As we go back to the Nistan Husqvarnas.
15:46And Karlsvalk holding on to that third place.
15:49But Liam Evertz is not letting him get away here.
15:52Only half a second separating them at the moment.
15:54And Sacha Koenern.
15:55Not too far ahead in second position here.
15:58This is great news for Simon Langenfelder.
16:01The gap only 13 points in the title race after yesterday's qualifying moto.
16:05Langenfelder who took a moto victory at Saint-Jean-d'Angelet.
16:11Narrowly missing out on the overall to Andrea Adamo.
16:17Langenfelder has been very consistent this year.
16:19Still sits second in the title race.
16:22Desperate need to try and claw back some wins.
16:24Claw back some points on Kaido Wolf.
16:27And Sacha Koenern could have a very important part to play here in the second part of the moto.
16:31As Thibaut Benestant his difficult day in moto number one continues here.
16:36He drops the machine.
16:37He was in 14th place.
16:40We'll have a look and see where he has recovered to.
16:43I think he's staying in the top 20.
16:45With Benestant now 14th position dropping the machine.
16:49And the rider who sits fifth in the title race.
16:53Will be losing points on some of these front runners.
16:59As Kaido Wolf starts to apply the pressure to Sacha Koenern.
17:03Flying through the rollers.
17:04This is a potential good overtaking opportunity here.
17:07As De Wolf looks down the inside.
17:09Got some nice traction through the rollers there.
17:12Trying to go on the inside.
17:13But Koenern sees him coming.
17:15And shuts the door.
17:16As they make their way over the uphill step up jump.
17:20Through the off cambered left hand corner.
17:23Leaping back down.
17:25Into the flat.
17:27Central part of the circuit here.
17:32Koenern.
17:34Using his lines well here.
17:35De Wolf can't afford to relax.
17:36Because Evert is keeping the pressure on behind him.
17:38This is the battle second through to fourth place.
17:40All three riders desperately need the points in terms of the title race.
17:44As they close up on the number 414.
17:46Oscar Briggs the Danish rider.
17:48He's currently in 30th position.
17:50The blue flags will go up.
17:51And Briggs just holding his line here.
17:52Letting the faster riders find a way through.
17:54De Wolf tries to seize the opportunity there.
17:56Has a look on the inside.
18:00But Sacha Koenern coming under some real pressure.
18:02From the reigning world champion.
18:03As down the inside goes to Wolf.
18:05He saw half an opportunity there.
18:07Snatches the position from Koenern.
18:09And Kaede Wolf moves into second place.
18:12The gap around five and a half seconds.
18:14And immediately pulls away from Koenern.
18:16Evert is trying to seize the opportunity here.
18:18The momentum.
18:19Very much with the Husqvarna's here.
18:22And Liam Evert will be determined to try and get past his fellow Belgian as quickly as possible.
18:29Sacha Koenern.
18:30Oh, he just got a little bit cross-rutted into the right-hander there.
18:33Doesn't allow Evert's through though.
18:35Evert's too close there to try and switch his lines to make the move on the outside of the corner.
18:40So he remains in fourth place.
18:46Brilliant ride here from Koenern as he makes his way through the rollers.
18:48But again Evert's.
18:49Much like the Wolf last time round with a brilliant move to the left-hand side of the circuit.
18:53Down the inside of Koenern he goes.
18:55And much like the Wolf on the previous lap.
18:57An almost identical move from Liam Evert's.
19:01And Evert's is now in third place.
19:03Trying to close up on his teammate.
19:05Langenfeld is still clear at the front.
19:08The gap was around seven seconds.
19:12We've got just over 11 minutes plus the two laps to go.
19:16And can McClellan start to get to work here on the triumph?
19:20Bring the pressure on Koenern who's just starting to lose a little bit of momentum here.
19:25Still 7.1 seconds between Langenfeld of the leader and the Wolf in second as we watch Cam McClellan.
19:31Now in fifth place trying to move to fourth.
19:38As they start to pick their way through the back markers.
19:43It's Colin Bornhaas the German rider currently in 20th position who moves to the outside lets the faster riders go through.
19:50There were some complaints from some of the championship front runners about the blue flags in the back markers last weekend.
19:56The Wolf and particularly Adamo was not happy.
19:59The reception to that was somewhat mixed.
20:02Of course the blue flags indicate the riders must hold position.
20:05Just warning them that a faster rider is coming through.
20:08So they're not necessarily obliged to get out of the way.
20:11They've just got to make sure they hold their line and not move into the path of the faster riders.
20:16But nonetheless they all seem to be getting through some of those back markers quite comfortably as Cam McClellan just starts switching his lines going down the inside.
20:25Trying to get the momentum into the corner but Koenern's got the line.
20:29Holds on to that place.
20:31Cam McClellan though gets the drive through the rollers from the outside line.
20:34Is he going to try and get down the inside of Koenern?
20:36Oh, he's going to be late on the corner.
20:38Goes for the block pass.
20:40Koenern determined not to give this one up.
20:42But McClellan goes through and he had to be brave there.
20:45But Cam McClellan holds the line and takes fourth position.
20:48So the Triumph rider after a steady start to this moto now starting to close up on the front runners.
20:55We'll have a look at that again.
20:56You see McClellan really had to be brave into the left hand at Koenern.
21:01Shotting the door on him but leaving half a gap on that inside line.
21:04McClellan holding on to the inside.
21:07Getting the drive out to the corner on the Triumph and through he goes.
21:13So McClellan seventh in the title race.
21:16What a good strong start to the season thus far.
21:20And certainly last weekend.
21:22Matt Trentino was a very good first moto.
21:25Did very well actually in the two double headers in Italy.
21:29Clone also on the podium at Sardinia.
21:33But really unfortunate for him that mistake in the second moto.
21:38Dropped the bike quite nastily.
21:40Really was a heavy tumble and he did well to recover to that 16th position.
21:44But so McClellan looking strong in fourth place trying to close up on Evertz.
21:49And there is the red plate holder Kyderwolf.
21:53The Nisdan Husqvarnas looking good in second and third so far.
21:58Langenfelder still clear and increasing his gap at the front.
22:02He's gone up to 10 seconds now.
22:04So Langenfelder with what would potentially be a very important first moto victory.
22:11If he can bring it over the line in the closing stages of this first moto here at Fraunfeld.
22:16Langenfelder with that one moto victory so far this year at the European round at Saint-Jean-d'Angelaire in France.
22:25And looking very good so far to try and make it a second win of the season.
22:31But still eight and a half minutes plus two laps to go.
22:34We can't say anything just yet because anything can happen in motocross.
22:37And certainly Kyderwolf and Liam Evertz are keeping that pressure on in second and third.
22:46Evertz just looking at the number 26 here.
22:48Just starting to again look for some lines as the race goes on.
22:51This is part of the unique attraction of motocross you might say is that the track really does change lap by lap.
23:01Lines start to deteriorate, new lines start to develop.
23:04So part of the skill set of a good rider is to constantly look for the lines, look for the smooth lines.
23:10You can see them there on that right hander just going up towards the Monster Energy finish line jump.
23:15There's a nice little inside rut starting to develop quite grippy on the inside.
23:19And this is where Evertz now just hunting out those new lines.
23:24He goes down the inside of the 214.
23:26One of the local Swiss riders.
23:28Thomas Urschlin currently in 26th position.
23:31Evertz can't afford to relax up here because Cam McClellan is also looking strong here.
23:40And some very strong words there towards Cam McClellan.
23:45In no uncertain terms to behold, hold it wide open and try and close up on Evertz.
23:51It's a very competitive race here.
23:53DeWolf still looking strong in 2nd but Evertz not letting him relax here.
23:57I think they've pretty much let Langenfeld go.
23:59He's built up the gap in the early part of the race.
24:01So DeWolf still in 2nd, Evertz still 3rd.
24:04McClellan, Sacha Kernan settling in nicely into that 5th place.
24:07Andrea D'Adamo starting to move through the top 10.
24:09Now getting past Fares on the 2nd of the 2 triumphs.
24:13Lata still in 8th place.
24:14Valk in 9th.
24:16Oliveira in 10th position from Carlos Rizlis.
24:19Roel Zinger and Benestat not such a good race for the Monster Energy factory Yamaha riders at this stage.
24:25And looking a bit further back,
24:27Montan Pruniez, Rukio Zanki not a good race for him so far.
24:30Down in 16th position, the factory HRC rider would be hoping to be a lot further towards the front.
24:35Mike Werder, all the Swiss fans currently in 17th place.
24:39Julius Micheler on the TM currently in 18th from Brassaras.
24:42And Saad Suleimani, the 2nd of the TM riders currently in 20th position.
24:47Rounding up the point scorers as we head towards the final few minutes of MX2 Moto1.
24:52Just over 6 minutes plus the 2 laps remaining here.
24:55And Kei DeWolf just closing slightly on Simon Langenfelder.
25:00Gap going down to 9.1 seconds.
25:02DeWolf being pushed hard here though by his teammate Evertz.
25:07And Kan McClellan, who is not giving this one up in 4th.
25:12Bat markers might play a part in these closing laps.
25:16Especially on this Frauenfeld circuit,
25:18which is notoriously difficult for overtaking at times.
25:21Although the slower rider, the number 234, Remo Schudel,
25:25one of the local Swiss riders, currently 25th.
25:28He sees them coming and concedes the line as they go flying through the road.
25:31As we see, we were saying about Lario Lata and getting it all wrong on the uphill step-up jump.
25:42Of course, there's that nasty left-handed off-camber corner.
25:46And if you get the step-up wrong, you're going to lose all momentum into the back corner.
25:50And Lata goes down. But he has recovered quite quickly.
25:53And stays in the top ten.
25:55So HRC Honda certainly keeping one eye to the future with two very young riders in,
26:01Faruqi Ozaki and Valerio Lata.
26:06Picked very early out of the EMX ranks and looking to try and develop them in the years to come to lead the way for HRC.
26:13So it's all part of the development progress.
26:15They might have good and bad races, inconsistencies.
26:18We've seen that, of course, with Koenen as well.
26:20He's had the pace, but dropped the bike a few times as well.
26:23But these factory teams just looking to blood and develop these riders in years to come.
26:28because some of the older riders, the likes of Langenfelder and DeWolf,
26:31likely to move into MXGP in the near future.
26:37So certainly you see Riesler's coming through as well for the factory Yamaha team, Monster Energy Yamaha as well.
26:44All these riders still in their teens.
26:49And we're looking at a new generation of MX2 riders coming through the ranks
26:53with some of our big hitters battling at the front here.
26:56Langenfelder maintaining that 10-second gap.
26:59Now lapping up towards the point scorers here.
27:01They went down the inside of Scotch Smulders.
27:03The Dutch rider currently in 22nd position.
27:05So they are starting to lap riders who are battling for points here.
27:11It's a relatively short circuit here at Fraunfeld.
27:13The distance, 1,500 metres.
27:17So it can make things a little bit more difficult in the closing stages.
27:20We've got just under four minutes to go, plus the two laps.
27:23And the battle for second place hotting up now as Liam Evertz tries to close the gap on his teammate DeWolf
27:28looking for those lines once again.
27:31And Liam Evertz demonstrating that feet on the pegs.
27:34Trials riding style that was so reminiscent of his father, Stefan Evertz, the ten times world champion.
27:39Stefan Evertz in full form always used to make riding a motocross bike look so easy.
27:48He just used to make it look like a Sunday afternoon stroll as a figure of speech, but carrying a lot of speed.
27:54And much like Stefan, Liam Evertz does a little bit of the woodland trials riding as well.
28:00Keeps some good technical practice in his training rotor as well.
28:03So you really see that silky smooth style reminiscent of the Evertz family in Liam who is still there in third place.
28:10Cam McClellan.
28:11All action hanging off the back end of that triumph as he gets the power down.
28:17Trying to break onto the podium.
28:19And McClellan knows here that potentially another podium for triumph could be in the reckoning here.
28:25But he just needs to try and steal those points away from the Husqvarna's and try the outside lines here.
28:30You can see Evertz holding the inside.
28:31This is really forcing McClellan now to look for the outside ruts.
28:37Follows Evertz through the right-handed rut there.
28:39But wherever possible he's going to try and use those outside lines to keep the momentum,
28:43keep the drive out of the corners and maybe get past Evertz on the outside of the corner.
28:48There's a battle now developing between the two KTMs.
28:52Kernan and Adamo for fifth position as Cam McClellan sweeps for the rollers.
28:58Evertz knows he's there though.
28:59Sweeps to the inside line preventing McClellan from taking that inside position.
29:04This is all benefiting DeWolf now who's just starting to pull away in second position.
29:12And again you see McClellan looking for those lines.
29:15The South African there inside lines on all of the corners.
29:19Now switching to the outside.
29:20Evertz taking the racing line where he can making McClellan do the work here.
29:251.42 plus two laps to go here.
29:27And MX2 Moto number one.
29:29Langenfelder in front.
29:30The gap goes down to 8.6 seconds.
29:32But all of the action here for second place.
29:36Again McClellan trying the outside line past the pit area.
29:38But Evertz has got the racing line through the chicane and holds on to third position.
29:44Kernan and Adamo still battling for fifth position.
29:47As Volk Olivia and Valerio Lata recovering from that spill on the banked corner earlier on.
29:52He holds on to the 10th position on the HRC Honda.
29:54Just ahead of Rizalis, Benestant and Elzinga.
29:57The Monster Energy factory Yamaha is currently 11th down to 13th position.
30:01For all of the action here is for second place.
30:06DeWolf just starting to pull away in second place.
30:10As Evertz knows that McClellan is there.
30:13McClellan desperately trying to find some drive out of the corners.
30:16Just trying to find an opening where he can get past Evertz here.
30:18As we go back to the Red Bull KTMs currently in fifth and sixth position.
30:25Adamo round the outside of Kernan.
30:28Neat little move there from the former world champion.
30:30Just at the start of the lap there.
30:32Just going past the foxhole shot point over the Monster Energy finish line table top.
30:36And with a neat move there.
30:38Andrea Adamo breaks into the top five in the closing stages.
30:41MX2, Moto number one.
30:45Drawing into its final stages here.
30:48Still as close as ever for second place though with Caio DeWolf.
30:53Coming back under pressure from Liam Evertz.
30:56Evertz in turn still being pursued by Cam McClellan in fourth position.
31:00The gap 8.9 seconds between these riders and the race leader.
31:03Simon Lengenfelder who has run away with his first moto.
31:08Lengenfelder over the line any moment.
31:10There he is just going past the pit area.
31:12And will get the two lap board very shortly indeed.
31:16Number 27, Simon Lengenfelder.
31:20Off in Bavaria.
31:25Looking to try and grab his first ever world motocross championship title in MX2.
31:30He's been close to Andrea Adamo and Caio DeWolf in the previous two seasons.
31:35But not quite close enough to stage a real championship fight in the final few rounds.
31:43But this could be a very important moto win for him here.
31:45Just pulling a few points back on DeWolf.
31:47Only 13 points separating them going into this first moto.
31:50So Lengenfelder at the gap 7.8 seconds.
31:55DeWolf not really closing.
31:56He's got to concentrate on his teammate behind him Evertz here.
31:59Who's still coming under pressure from McClellan.
32:01Who can't find a way through.
32:06And McClellan the young South African trying every page in the book that he knows.
32:11Looking for lines everywhere.
32:12He's been going to the inside going to the outside.
32:14Can't find any drive to catch up with Evertz.
32:16Who gets a great line through the rollers there.
32:18Pulls away from McClellan.
32:21And Evertz still not giving up on that second position.
32:24He really does need to try and pull some points back on his teammate here.
32:28As they close up on some of the tail-enders.
32:30Nervous moments here for DeWolf.
32:31He's got to pick his line correctly here.
32:33Looks like he's getting up to Saad Soleimani on the grey TM machine.
32:37The Italian machine.
32:38Gets past Soleimani okay.
32:43The number 414 in there as well.
32:45Just on the edge of the top 20.
32:47Magnus Smith, Soleimani, Ulias Mikkela in there as well.
32:50The TM's just on the edge of the points at this stage.
32:53And there is the number 20.
32:55So Ulias Mikkela currently in 18th position.
32:58Bulks DeWolf slightly there.
33:00But unfortunate there.
33:01Oh!
33:02He catches the back wheel of DeWolf.
33:03And he didn't intend to do that.
33:05He puts his hand up to apologize to Kai DeWolf.
33:10That was unfortunate you would say.
33:12Because we'll have a look at that again.
33:13You see.
33:14Mikkela moving to the left-hand side of the circuit.
33:17Trying to concede the line to DeWolf.
33:19Who gives him a rather dirty look.
33:21But you would say there that Mikkela quick to apologize for that.
33:25He was just trying to concede the line to the faster rider.
33:29But again, back markers playing a crucial part in these closing stages.
33:35DeWolf really had to keep his cool lay.
33:37He just tapped the back wheel of the TM.
33:38And it would have been so easy for him to topple off the machine there.
33:41Managed to back out of it quite easily.
33:44So DeWolf holds on to that second place.
33:46Maintains a second gap on Everts in third position.
33:50Last lap of the Moto here.
33:53And Simon Langenfeld closing him on victory.
33:55All of the action here though for second place.
33:57Cam McClellan not really able to close up.
33:59As Everts goes flying through the rollers on the final lap.
34:01Gets a great line.
34:02And this could be his moment.
34:04He's going to try and go down the inside.
34:05The Wolves got the line covered though.
34:07Everts carrying a lot of speed through that roller section.
34:12McClellan still there in fourth.
34:13They go up the step-up jump for the final time.
34:15Everts a little bit squirrely on the uphill jump.
34:17That could allow McClellan in here.
34:20Langenfeld closing in on victory here.
34:22But the battle now on for third.
34:24As Cam McClellan stages a late fight back on Liam Everts.
34:27As they close in on victory.
34:30Will Everts be able to hold on here?
34:32Langenfeld closing in on the chequered flag.
34:35All of the action still for this third place.
34:38DeWolf looks like he's going to hold on to third.
34:40But McClellan really keeping the pressure on Everts.
34:43As they make their way back towards the finish line.
34:45Simon Langenfelder here he comes around the final couple of corners.
34:48And what will be a very important first moto victory.
34:52Second of the season.
34:54Simon Langenfelder takes the chequered flag.
34:57Great result for him.
34:58But who's it going to be over the line in second place?
35:00DeWolf in second.
35:01Everts third.
35:02McClellan in fourth.
35:03It was as close as that.
35:05Fantastic riding there.
35:07Between the second through to fourth place riders.
35:11And as you can see.
35:12Just over one second covering those three over the line.
35:16Adamo recovering to fifth place.
35:18Despite that spill earlier on.
35:20He will be pleased with that one.
35:22Despite the trouble he had earlier on in the moto.
35:24Kernan.
35:25After a bright start.
35:26Still brings it home for a strong sixth position.
35:28Várez Volk.
35:29Olivier in ninth position.
35:31And it looks like Valerio Lata will round out the top ten.
35:35At the end of this first moto.
35:37But a brilliant first race there for Simon Langenfelder.
35:41And that will do his championship hopes.
35:43A lot of good indeed.
35:45Benestat in 11th position.
35:48Difficult moto for the factory Yamaha rider.
35:50The Frenchman taking 11th.
35:51From his teammate Carlos Reiselis.
35:53Who should be coming through any moment now.
35:55To finish in 12th position.
35:57Rick Alzinga in 13th.
36:00So the Yamaha's just on the edge of the top ten.
36:03And Peruki Ozaki on the HRC Honda.
36:06Just a little bit further behind.
36:07In 14th position.
36:09Simon Langenfelder who wins moto number one here in Switzerland.
36:21Very important moto victory for him.
36:23And he really did well to get the lead early on from his teammate Kernan.
36:28And winning the race in the end by just over eight seconds.
36:31As the rest of the top 20 make their way through at the end of MX2.
36:36Moto number one.
36:37Langenfelder the race winner.
36:39Closing up in the title race.
36:41And will make moto number two.
36:43Very important indeed.
36:49Fantastic battle the second though with DeWolf.
36:51Everts and McClellan.
36:52But Langenfelder your race winner.
36:54Congratulations.
36:55You took the foxhole shot.
36:56You then had to make a pass on your teammate.
36:58You just made it look really comfortable.
37:00You turned it into your second race win of the season.
37:03And you just look really good out there.
37:05But how was it from your seat.
37:07Yeah I'm struggling right now a little bit with the starts.
37:09But I guess not on this one.
37:12I've been riding comfortable.
37:14Found some nice lines.
37:16Yeah then just had a good speed.
37:18And looked on the pit board.
37:19And saw that I've got some seconds over the others.
37:21So yeah I could ride my own race.
37:24And finish in first.
37:25So that's always good.
37:26Thanks Simon.
37:27Thanks Simon.
37:28Yeah.
37:30Thank you.
37:31Cheers.
37:32Cheers.
37:33Cheers.
37:34Cheers.
37:35Cheers.
37:36Cheers.
37:37Cheers.
37:38Terima kasih.
