Spring storms are dumping rain across many parts of the Southeast this week.

00:00Now the same storm that you've been tracking this evening is also having impacts into the southeast so let's take a look at what is going on there. I want to start with our storm reports. Now most of what you're seeing here is from yesterday but we do have a new flood report coming in from the New Orleans area street flooding near Jackson Square and we have seen some video of this as well coming in on social media so something to keep an eye out on but overall taking a look at radar we have seen a couple of sphere thunderstorm warnings pop up in
00:29oh there's the video that I mentioned from New Orleans great job to our producer getting that in so quickly so New Orleans I know you're not no stranger to a little bit of street flooding so we're just going right through it which of course we never recommend though I will say this is not too severe of flooding there. Now we have had a few severe thunderstorm warnings as well pop up in Alabama and Mississippi none active at this point though. Overall this is the big picture where we are concerned for severe weather it's the same map Jeff showed you to
00:59the northeast we just kind of split it in half here to really zero in on the regions that we're focusing on mainly a damaging wind event but we've seen in the northeast that we have had a couple of tornado warnings so we can't rule out an isolated tornado or two to the southeast as well we also could see some hail. Let's give you a look at future radar and how this plays out we head into the overnight hours and this weekend we see less precipitation coming in with the line of storms moving with the cold front but take a look at what happens through Tuesday we do see this moving into the Carolinas
01:29but it's going to be very scattered we're into the afternoon heading into the evening not quite the same setup as what we've seen throughout this evening into areas a little bit farther to the west but some of you like Alabama you're going to hit with another round of rain as we head through Tuesday so it's a little bit of a short lived break the next round already forming into the south central Wednesday morning as this system moves its way off the coast you may notice Florida you're not getting in on the action at all which is not good news because not only do we have drought issues
01:59there and in the Carolinas where the rain is just not going to be significant into Florida we also have an elevated fire risk that's going to last through the week
