00:00Hundreds of bikers rode through Sheffield en masse for this year's annual Easter egg run for Sheffield Children's Hospital.
00:08They rode with a police escort from the Police Operations Centre at Europa Link across the city to gather in Western Park, with many of them riding in fancy dress.
00:19It was led by famous motor racing champion James Tosland, who had biker Richard Granger as a pillion passenger after Richard had won a raffle for the honour.
00:30I get involved with the Theo's Easter egg run every year. This is my 22nd year consecutively. It's Theo's egg run's 25th anniversary.
00:38Obviously I got involved with it three years on before it started.
00:42And every time I go around the hospital to give Easter eggs and gifts and toys to the children.
00:49I've been a patron of the charity for 23 years now.
00:53And because of this event, I go into the hospital every year and see where the money's going and see where the fundraising is helping at the hospital.
01:00And meet the brave kids and families in there. It's not an easy gig when you meet them.
01:05But I realise just how important it is to support the hospital and give the best chance of having the best facilities on saving lives as well as we can.
01:14And that's why I do it every single year. It's a really, really important hospital for the city.
01:18I'm from Sheffield myself. So it's an honour and a pleasure to help out and raise money for the hospital.
01:22How's it been being James Towsland's pillion today?
01:27Absolutely amazing. I've done it for the last 15, 16 years.
01:31And to win the raffle and actually get the chance to ride pillion with James, he's one of Sheffield's legends of South Yorkshire.
01:39So to be able to go on the back of him and have a chat to him on the way, absolutely amazing.
01:43Brilliant.
01:44Do you do this every year?
01:46Yes, yes. I've done it about 17 years. So this would have been the first one I'd missed because most sides were broke down.
01:53So winning the actual raffle was a bonus to then get a free ride anyway.
01:58So you wouldn't have been able to do it without James?
02:00No, absolutely.
02:01Have you enjoyed taking part in the egg run today?
02:08Oh, it's been absolutely amazing. It's such an achievement to do and it's just brilliant. The kids and everything, amazing.
02:15It's your first time at all, isn't it?
02:16It's the first time, yeah. So, yeah, so it's been, honestly, it's been absolutely amazing.
02:21Everybody that's come out to support and the amount of bikes, it's just such a lovely family affair. It's brilliant.
02:27Have you both enjoyed the egg hunt today?
02:31Yes.
02:32We've really enjoyed it.
02:33Yes, we have.
02:35Have you, um, is it the first time you've done it?
02:38Yeah.
02:38We've done it last year, but my bike was off-road, so this year we've made sure we've done it.
02:44Excellent.
02:45What made you decide to do it today?
02:47Um, we've got, uh, my son's got a few problems. He's got a few children's, has brought him right up.
02:53And, uh, every time we've got two children's, then he shows the oatmeal with his own.
02:57He's been absolutely brilliant, so I think it's time that we just repaid him somehow.
