00:00use close combat welcome to watchmojo and today we're counting down our picks
00:09for the most awesome one-sided brawls in the Pokemon series number 10 Lugia
00:19versus the legendary birds it's not every day you see a legendary as powerful
00:24as Lugia gets smacked out of the sky then again it's not every day you see
00:29the Kanto legendary birds in action either together the trifecta of elemental
00:35flyers but Lugia in its place via fire ice and electricity
00:48the Guardian of the sea tries to put up a fight but it's three on one it just can't
00:53keep up it's not like the birds are going easy on it
00:59even once Lugia falls they keep firing attack after attack until they're sure
01:04the Pokemon is down for the counts this really is a battle of legendary proportions
01:10number nine beware beware ultra beast or not no one stands between beware and what
01:20it wants bear in mind Ferrimosa had been running literal circles around everyone
01:25all episode but as soon as the fluffy Pokemon stepped up to the plate the fight
01:31was as good as over
01:32with a single resounding uppercut the bug type got royally squashed into oblivion
01:41to really rub it in beware doesn't even hang around to take its spoils content with a job well done
01:55it grabs up team rockets and storms off leaving Ferrimosa behind to fix the
02:01remnants of its broken body and shattered ego
02:04number eight Paul's final frontier when Brandon lands in snow point city Paul is determined to do
02:17what his brother couldn't and scale the battle pyramid all he has to do is defeat the frontier brains army of Regis
02:23sadly for Paul Regirock is unbreakable Regis steel is unbendable and Regis is just plain cold it's supposed to be a six-on-six fight but Paul's team keeps getting mopped so hard Brandon only swamps to share the glory
02:46at a certain points Paul accepts defeat and stops giving his Pokemon orders at all
02:57you know it's a crazy beat down when someone as prideful as Paul gives up
03:02number seven Zarina stomps all over team rockets for the first time in ages it seemed like Jesse James and
03:16Meowth might actually get a win then Steenie entered the fray and stomped on
03:21their dreams by evolving into Zarina the grass type leveled up its kicks enough to
03:30send Team Rocket blasting off again it's probably for the best that beware whisked
03:35them away based on how effortlessly Zarina used Meowth as a soccer ball they
03:40wouldn't have fared much better if they stuck around
03:43Zarina also crushed her allies cages into dust but that was just for show clearly
03:48she had this one under control all on her own
03:51number six God chomps champion chowdown never ever challenge a Pokemon champion
03:59unprepared especially not Cynthia Paul being Paul though decided his ragtag team
04:05would be able to compete with Sinnoh's best all he got for his efforts was a total
04:10thrashing from a very gnarly Garchomp
04:19Cynthia's ace eviscerates Paul's team one by one until it's not even exciting
04:24anymore it's just sad then again what else did Paul expect he challenges Cynthia
04:38wanting to prove a point but all he proved was that they're in completely
04:42different leagues
04:49number five Charizard cooks Casey look every trainer has to start somewhere and
04:55usually it's with a lot of losses but Casey beginning her journey by staring
05:00down a Charizard just feels mean ash sends out the Kanto fire type against the
05:05girls freshly caught team of Pidgey Rattata and Chikorita
05:14just saying it out loud sounds disrespectful none of Casey's team even
05:19warrant Charizard's attention in fact Casey starter spends more time trying to
05:27put out the fire on its leaf than it does actually fighting for someone with so
05:32much spunk it's sad to say Casey's debut as a trainer goes down as a total
05:37embarrassment
05:39can't believe it was a total shutout
05:41number four an elite fight to the finish in order to reignite Volkner's
05:45passion for battling ash and Flint give him a front-row seat to their fiery
05:49match good news it works and makes Volkner good as new the bad news it's not
05:55because it's a particularly close fights ash opened with a type advantage using
06:00Buizel but Flint's not a member of the elite four for nothing
06:06his infernape wrecks Buizel and then ashes own infernape in a mirror match
06:13we aren't sure how such a lopsided match connected with Volkner but at least
06:24something good came out of this burning defeats
06:26number three Pikachu's thunderous payback let's not mince words here when ash and
06:36Pikachu first arrived in vermilion city lieutenant surges right you positively
06:41roasted them it was hard to see a way the pallet town duo could ever come back
06:46from such a blunder but thanks to some novel use of Pikachu's speed the pet didn't
06:54just rise from the ashes they rose all the way to the thunder clouds surges
06:59right you does more damage to itself as it tries to keep up with its more nimble
07:04pre-evolved form
07:10once it's good and dizzy Pikachu delivers the finishing blow earning ash one of his
07:15most gratifying gym badges to date it's a positively electrifying end
07:27number two to bias trumps ash imagine you make it all the way to the semi-finals of
07:33a Pokemon League only to get rocked without even seeing two-thirds of your
07:37opponents team well lash doesn't have to imagine it
07:44that's exactly what happened when he went up against to bias in the lily of the
07:51valley conference even using an all-star team from his entire journey ashes
07:56pokemon can barely land a scratch on tobias's OP darkrai
08:08they eventually wear it down only for tobias to bring out a freaking latios in
08:13reserve ash put up a good fight given the circumstances but this still goes down as
08:18one of the most one-sided league matches to date

08:48this a gym match or an assassination sabrina's creepy vibes make it hard to
08:53tell her Abra alone was tricky enough for Pikachu to pin down but once it evolved
08:59into Kadabra the psychic type turned this into a telekinetic tantrum for the
09:03history books Pikachu is tossed around like it weighs less than a mimikyu unable to
09:15even fire a thundershock in retaliation the match is such a wash ash has to
09:24forfeit even though it means sacrificing his friends to sabrina's wicked schemes if
09:29he hadn't stopped the battle when he did who knows what would have happened to
09:33Pikachu
