00:00Fantastic performance this afternoon, is that as good as it's been this season?
00:04Yeah, it's got to be up there with probably the better performances if you like. I thought
00:09so many great contributions on the pitch today in terms of team performance and
00:14everyone spoke about through the week and everyone spoke about before the game.
00:18And I think it was important that the last home game here is still fresh in our minds,
00:22you know, putting a really disappointing performance against Cernal Albion and
00:25it was important, you know, that we get the belief back in the crowd again and we've done that early
00:29doors and, you know, probably the biggest frustration this season is not taking our
00:33chances in the final third as much as we probably want to, you know, because the stats tell us that
00:38we worked the ball into really good positions and areas. But today I thought we were devastating,
00:43you know, and arguably could have scored a couple more certainly towards the end of the first half.
00:48And then the way that we managed the game second half was really good, you know, look,
00:52Peter Hedder, our top team, I think Jordan and Ryan have done an outstanding job there.
00:55We've got a really good team, real identity and they've picked up some really impressive results.
01:00And I think outside of Hibs, they were the most consistent team in Scotland, I think 12 on
01:04beating or something. So I think it shows that on our day, how good a side we can be.
01:10But, you know, there's a recognition that there's still work to do.
01:14So we're certainly not getting carried away with ourselves, but we're certainly pleased with the
01:17performance and the three. It's just important that we responded. I don't think we played poorly last week,
01:21but the game was decided on moments and we never took advantage of the moments. Whereas today,
01:26we were clinical when we needed to be, we managed the game really well second half and, you know,
01:30Saul carried a threat and a counter. So, but yeah, look, two really, really difficult games left.
01:36And, you know, we know that we've still got a lot of work to do. So yeah, look, part of the game plan for us
01:40was we know the way that Peter Hedder play and we know, you know, where we can hurt them. And,
01:46you know, you can certainly hurt them on transition. And I think the players listened to the instruction
01:52really well before the game, what we touched on on Tuesday, Thursday through the weekend.
01:56Ultimately, you know, you can put them in a plan and give them a way to set up and how to play.
02:00And ultimately, you know, where, where the players have to do their job is pick the moments and
02:04execute the moments where they recognize the opportunities. And look, we've done that,
02:08you know, we've peeled off at the spaces really well and really clinical, which is what you have
02:12to be at this level. And there's not many teams are going to turn up and beat, you know,
02:17a team of that quality 4-0. So I think it highlights how strong the performance was.
02:22But as I said, it's just one game. So we'll just focus on next week now.
02:26What game you'll use as a benchmark though, I'm sure?
02:29Yeah, look, Craig, that's why we get so frustrated. And that's why we demand such high standards
02:33off the group, because that's what we, that's what we think the group are capable of, you know,
02:37and I've got a lot of belief in this group and I've maintained that belief through the losing run
02:41and I've maintained that belief through the last couple of weeks where people were maybe
02:44getting into question what the, what the group are capable of, but we know on our day,
02:47we're a really good team. I think the challenge for us is to be consistent over 36 games and,
02:51you know, get that type of level of performance on a more regular basis. And if we do, we know
02:57we've got the quality, you know, I thought we're devastating in the final third today,
03:00but had real good control over the midfield and defensively. I thought we defended our 18-yard
03:04box in the area with it really well today. I thought the players got the decision-making spot on,
03:08but, you know, we need that performance more and we certainly need it over the next two games.
