01:03Bermaksud, he was in top form. He broke the national record.
01:10We flew back together from Paris to Kuala Lumpur.
01:15And I was very, very tired on the flight, but I sat next to Dato' Azizou and I saw how he struggled to sleep during that flight.
01:25So this incident, nobody wanted it to happen, including himself.
01:30And all of us who were in Paris, we all saw the response, and we really wanted to give him time to process it all.
01:41And for the first few months, we could not contact him because he just really wanted space to think through.
01:48So this decision that we have made is not a decision that was taken lightly.
01:55It was thoroughly thought of.
01:58And because for Malaysia, it's not often that you find an athlete who is as motivated as Dato' Azizou.
02:06For some other athletes, I may be worried to give them so much of freedom to decide on their own latihan.
02:13But this is a man who has gone through very serious surgery, but very driven on his own every day.
02:21And if he can push himself, he would push himself.
02:23So we don't have a problem of discipline or lack of motivation.
02:27So I believe we've given him this flexibility under this program.
02:32And we have already spent so much to support our athletes.
02:38And to me, I feel $200,000 is something Malaysia can afford to do this for Dato' Azizou.
02:45After all, he has given to Malaysia.
02:47And for me, in sports, when you have somebody who broke his own national record in Paris just eight months ago,
02:56after going through such a serious surgery, I don't think it's time to write him off.
03:03Don't write him off.
03:04Because you might just be surprised at the outcome.
03:07And that's why this is a worthy investment on behalf of Malaysia for one of our top athletes.
03:13If you ask me, we can have many, many plans for Dato' Azizou.
03:18But is that the right timing?
03:20And I'm very glad that he has decided that he will not give up yet.
03:25And to give this one more chance, to give this one more goal.
03:29And I think because of that, we should stand behind him and support him.
