00:00Hello there and there good morning to you. We start off this Saturday with a
00:04slight east-west split in conditions. Generally out towards the east it's not
00:08too bad at all but it's low pressure in control for western regions and this is
00:13providing more unsettled theme overall. We've got continuing outbreaks of rain
00:18across many western districts. Those will be heavy in places and particularly for
00:23Northern Ireland and northwestern Scotland they'll be continuing right
00:26throughout much of today. It should be an improving picture though for Wales
00:29and southwest England into the afternoon. The rain will ease and it will turn
00:33drier allowing for a few brighter spells to develop but the best of any
00:36sunnier breaks will certainly be out towards areas of eastern Scotland and
00:39England. Temperatures climbing towards highs around 15 degrees Celsius so in that
00:44sunshine not feeling too bad for the time of year though there is still quite a
00:48keen breeze coming in from the east and from that North Sea direction so if
00:52you're exposed to that it will be feeling a touch cooler in there and also cooler
00:56underneath the most persistent cloud and rain in the northwest. This rain will be
01:00lingering into the evening as well particularly for the outer Hebrides, parts
01:04of the Highlands and Argyle and Buttes as well easing off a little bit more
01:07overnight for Northern Ireland. We do also see another system just push its way into
01:12the far southeast closer towards dawn on Easter Sunday as well but elsewhere
01:17managing to stay dry. Generally not too chilly of your night. Our temperatures will be
01:22holding up around four to eight degrees Celsius in towns and cities though it
01:25will be a touch lower than that in the countryside and we may get close to
01:29freezing in a few sheltered rural spots. But for Easter Sunday itself then away
01:35from the far northwest and the far southeast where those two systems are in
01:38play it's not too bad of a day overall. There'll be plentiful amounts of sunshine for
01:42the bulk of Scotland Northern England down into Wales as well and generally lighter
01:47winds around tomorrow should make for a relatively pleasant feel as well. A bit of a
01:51breeze still lingering around some coastal districts particularly where you do have
01:55those showers and slightly longer spells of rain in there. But with the sunshine
01:59temperatures climbing towards that 15-16 degrees Celsius a bit more widely
02:02particularly for the northwest once the rain does clear off into the afternoon
02:05it will be feeling a touch more pleasant here. There may be a few spots where we
02:09even see higher than these values here. But the sunshine is not going to last for
02:14all of us as we head into the last stage of this bank holiday weekend. Low pressure
02:19will be returning and bringing more weather fronts our way so further spells of
02:24rain are possible and the showers will also become a bit more widespread.
02:28Particularly for England, Wales and Northern Ireland there could be some heavy
02:31ones around on Monday. It's looking like Scotland will be the driest of the
02:35nations and with the best of any of that sunshine still lingering on at times.
