00:00Hiya, my name's Daryl and I'm a proud owner of Spudsy's and Bubbling Shake next door,
00:05which has been open about three weeks now.
00:07The response has been really good and positive,
00:10and the community's helped us out a lot and we're getting a lot of good feedback.
00:14And it's just lovely down there, really nice scenery, sunshine,
00:18a little more good to ask for.
00:19So tell me, for Spudsy, what's the most popular thing on the menu, obviously, is gaffin' potatoes.
00:25Yeah, gaffin' potatoes very well.
00:26We've got some really nice pasties, award-winning,
00:29tuna and mayo, beans, and chili con carne seem to be the favourite at the minute.
00:34Steak and stilting pasties are really good sellers,
00:38and obviously a selection of drinks and milkshakes.
00:40So tell me, obviously we're down here on South Prairie Pier,
00:43why the location for both of the stores?
00:47Well, we're obviously local, seaside location doesn't get any better than this.
00:52If you can see what I'm seeing right now, sun's out and the beach looks lovely,
00:55the waves are crashing in.
00:57It's just an ideal location to be at, really,
00:59with lots of happy people walking through.
01:03Do you have any plans for the future on both businesses?
01:05Plans for the future?
01:06Obviously, at the minute it's steady,
01:08but we're looking to probably branch out and open some more stores
01:11in and around Portsmouth and local areas, to be fair.
01:14All right.
