00:00I think that this, this question is, it also, it really is at the foundation of why we're all here today is how do we stop this autocratic takeover before it becomes irreversible and lose our democracy over the next election in 2026.
00:19And, you know, well, this is something that really is truly unprecedented where we not only have an unhinged tyrant as a president who's willing to completely disobey any law that gets in his way,
00:45but we also have the richest man in the world who is threatening and backing his agenda and is threatening anybody who stands in their way who doesn't fall in line.
00:57So, fundamentally, how we have overcome fascist takeovers around the world in the past is people showing up and fighting back.
01:11Fighting back is showing up today, it's showing up to rallies, and it is us actually, you know, continuing to communicate for emergency response, not only as constituents to update you about what's happening in Washington,
01:38but having a responsive constituency, so that they see across the nation that people are not going to back down.
01:45And I don't know if we want to add on to this, Senator Bennett, but this is the beginning of our fight for the next two years together.
01:57I would, I just, I don't want to repeat what I said earlier, but I do think it is critically important for us to build a coalition of Coloradans and of Americans who are opposed to what's happening.
02:11You know, this is an opportunity for us to build that coalition, and I think myself that there are many, many Republicans in Chapin County, you know, who are depending on the public lands of this community who are not happy with what they're seeing.
02:28I think there are many Republicans, small business people all over America who are getting crushed because of the terror that Donald Trump has started, and I think there are a lot of communities in America who are going to suffer deeply because of the Medicaid deaths that are coming as a result of this administration.
02:50Believe me, believe me, believe me, believe me, there is nothing, I wish for more, that we could just snap our fingers today and have this idea of the Internet.
03:00But that's not the way Americans have ever, ever dealt with a situation like this.
03:07That democracy, as I said earlier, is not self-executed, and it's going to take us every single day, between now and when he's gone, to defend the institutions that we're talking about, to defend the most vulnerable people in our society, and to defend the democracy itself.
03:28So, we won't win that fight. I am absolutely sure we will win that fight.
