00:00We had a lot of questions about how we identify Republicans who can be convinced to vote against these egregious cuts.
00:12And I think many questions around this issue is the moderate Republicans, how do we bring them along?
00:19When I think about the Colorado delegation, we need to be reaching out to Republicans.
00:25Even though you're not in their area, you can still make sure that you're calling their office and that there's a team that can continue to hear from you about the worries that you have about the cuts that are coming down the pike.
00:37But it's not just their immoral budget proposal that's coming through that's going to hurt the most vulnerable kids, seniors, and families here in Colorado.
00:47It is also about the rising costs and what we're going to see in our economy with a 30 to 40 percent likelihood of a recession now because of Trump's irrational and immoral and terrible tariffs that are going to be hitting all of us in our Congress.
01:05So he ran on making sure that we're addressing rising costs.
01:15People were struggling. They felt disenfranchised. They felt left behind.
01:20And they were willing to vote for the guy that they knew wasn't a good person.
01:24You know, it's just his radical base to believe that he is a good person.
01:29But the rest of the United States is very well aware that this is not somebody that we can trust.
01:34They were willing to put that aside if they thought that their lives would be better.
01:38Because they remembered before the pandemic that the economy was better than it was because of the fall of the global pandemic.
01:46And so the opportunity that we have now, unfortunately, is fracturing our economy right now.
01:53And not only are we going to have this horrible people maker because of their benefits being taken away,
01:59we're also going to see terrible economic consequences here.
02:04So when people start to wake up, when they start feeling the pain, I know that they're going to join us in engaging and fighting back.
