00:00Hello there, hello there, good afternoon to you. It might be Good Friday, but it is also a wet
00:06Friday for some others. We've been seeing outbreaks of rain spreading into many western
00:10areas first thing this morning, and these will be continuing to move through during the day,
00:15quite heavy in places. As a result, there are yellow rain warnings that come into force
00:19from this afternoon, so do take care if you're planning on travelling during the next 24 hours
00:24or so. Some delays to your journey certainly are possible. Out towards the east, it is drier,
00:29and we could certainly see highs of around 17, maybe 18 or 19 degrees Celsius, where the sunshine
00:33pokes through across parts of southeastern England. But it's going to be feeling quite cooler out
00:37towards the west, underneath all this cloud and rain, and quite a noticeable breeze around as well,
00:43so quite windy for some of us. As we head into the evening and overnight, the rain will slowly push
00:48its way northwards, eventually affecting more parts of northwestern Scotland, and a touch of snow is
00:53possible over the very highest tops of the Scottish mountains. Generally, though, with all the cloud
00:58and the rain and the breeze that's still going to be in place, it is going to be a mild night for all
01:02of us. Temperatures generally ranging between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius as we do start off Saturday
01:08morning. It is, though, still going to be this east-west split across the nation, so still some heavy
01:14pulses of rain possible for the Banai-Brakainiog, parts of higher ground areas of southwest England.
01:19The Antrim and more mountains also seeing a lot of rainfall build up, so some disruption is possible
01:24here. Generally, though, it will be an improving story for Wales and southwest England, with the rain easing
01:28off later, and along with eastern areas of England, some brighter spells will be developing here, but
01:33it's going to remain fairly dull and drab for the northwest, and temperatures still held back here
01:37around 10 degrees Celsius. It is going to be a cooler day tomorrow in the east, 15 degrees Celsius
01:43generally as the high, just because we have this more easterly breeze coming in off the North Sea,
01:48and that will be bringing in some slightly cooler conditions overall, but those values are still
01:52generally where we would expect to be for the time of year. So a dry end to the day for Wales and
01:58England, certainly eastern Scotland as well, not faring too badly at all, and the rain will gradually
02:03ease for Northern Ireland and Western Scotland as we head throughout the night and into Sunday, and
02:08generally Easter Sunday is looking like one of the better days of this long weekend. Still some
02:13lingering showers in places, but some bright and sunny spells for those that do have any outdoor
02:18activities planned or walks at all. You will, though, probably need to get the broilies back on hand
02:24for Easter Monday, though, because the showers are likely to be returning across many areas of the
02:28UK, so it could turn quite damp as well in places. We'll keep up to date, of course, with all the latest
02:34details as we head throughout this long weekend, so do stay up to date with those on YouTube, and we'll see
02:39you again very shortly. Bye-bye.
