00:00We've heard President Trump saying he would love to deport homegrown U.S. citizens, he said,
00:06specifically violent U.S. prisoners, to El Salvador.
00:10Let me just start by asking you who you imagine he had in mind.
00:14Who could end up in a prison in El Salvador?
00:17I think that what President Trump is really trying to do is to make sure that not only the illegals
00:24who are committing heinous crimes in the United States against Americans are on notice,
00:30but also Americans are on notice for crimes that they commit,
00:35and that they could end up in somewhere as awful as Seacott.
00:39So really what he's trying to do is portray the image that maybe our prisons are all too friendly
00:47to prisoners here in the United States, and the real threat of going somewhere like Seacott,
00:52where, you know, it's terrible conditions, obviously, these prisons, as we've seen video footage of.
01:01The Secretary of Homeland Security was there a couple weeks ago,
01:04and really seeing the way that everyone is, you know, 40,000 inmates crammed into these really tight cells,
01:11you know, the same meal every day, no protein, straight beans and rice every day for the rest of your life,
01:18would be enough to deter violent crimes from happening.
