00:00It's part of a life, innit? It's a British institution.
00:12Yeah, I live on my own, so the only company I get is when I come out to the pub.
00:20And we've got to keep moving. We've got to do everything we can to keep going.

00:28It's very important to the community. It, you know, it's places where people can go and meet, go and relax, have a good time.
00:41So John Jardine, they do the poppy appeal here, and they used to be very good to us.
00:49So the pubs that we use have literally turned into restaurants.
00:55And that is good, as far as I'm concerned, because there was too much drinking taking place in normal pubs.
01:05And I've grown up through that.
01:07So those that are closing down, a lot of them are turning to restaurants.
01:14So that's my opinion.
01:17Some pubs are important for the community, family pubs.
01:22Pubs that allow children, but not all pubs, I don't think, are necessary for the community.
