00:00The biggest issue facing businesses all across the country now is high energy bills and high taxes.
00:06If we want to have a steel manufacturing in this country, we have got to deal with the two biggest things the businesses are dealing with.
00:14So bringing down the cost of energy, which means scrapping the net zero agenda as it is now, it's not working,
00:21getting something better in place and actually reducing the burdens on business.
00:24Because it is not the government that creates growth, it's business that creates growth.
00:28The agenda which the government is pursuing is one that's going to make energy bills even more expensive.
00:35We've all seen our household bills go up this April, about £1,000 on average for households.
00:41People are feeling the burden of the cost of living.
00:44And Labour made promises that they were going to freeze council tax, that they were going to bring down energy bills.
00:49They've broken their promises. Instead, they've put taxes on business.
00:52And that is making a lot of people hurt. Growth is down. Unemployment is up.
00:57That is a serious problem.
