00:13That's 21-year-old Swayam Smita who confronted an elderly man for secretly taking photos of her legs
00:19at the Dilwara Jain temple in Mount Abu, Rajasthan.
00:22The video uploaded by Swayam Smita's friend Anurag showed her calling out the man for secretly taking photos of her legs.
00:34Initially, the man denied it, but when she insisted, he opened his gallery, the photos were clearly visible.
00:39Swayam Smita told us the incident took place on 13 April, 2025.
00:56While on a family trip to Rajasthan, I was denied entry to Dilwara Jain temple for wearing a dress, so I waited outside.
01:04A man came and sat next to me. He tried to touch me and I thought it was just an accident, so I just caught up and sat across.
01:12But he kept staring at me inappropriately and started taking pictures of my legs.
01:17Swayam Smita also mentioned that the incident left her feeling unsafe and disgusted, so she informed her parents.
01:24They decided to report it at the Udaipur's Hiranmangri police station, where officials took a written complaint from her as the incident had occurred in another district.
01:32and assured that the FIR will be filed by next morning and I'll get a notification in my phone.
01:39Next day, I just called up and just asked for an update and they just said that they have sent my complaint to Mount Abu, where the incident happened.
01:50And it will take six to seven days for my FIR to get registered.
01:55She also said she felt misled, as officials later suggested she could speed up the process by simply writing an email to the Mount Abu police station and her case would be considered.
02:04You could have just informed me when I went to Hiranmangri police station and you could have just said, you just write a mail to them and it's all good.
02:14Why was I given fake promises?
02:16While Swayam Smita's video of the confrontation triggered widespread outreach across social media platforms, she is still waiting for justice.
02:22If you are still waiting for place.
02:32Yes, no.
