00:00In case you missed it last week, President Trump signed a National Security Presidential
00:04Memorandum directing federal agencies administering federal land on the border to make land available
00:10to the Defense Department in a new national defense area.
00:15This followed the President's day one executive order committing his administration to marshal
00:19all available resources and authorities to stop the unprecedented flood of illegal aliens
00:24into our country and to obtain complete operational control of the borders of the United States
00:30of America.
00:31Once again, the President is fulfilling another key promise.
00:35This new national defense area spans more than 170 miles across our border in New Mexico.
00:41But in the coming weeks, this administration will add more than 90 miles in the state of
00:45Texas.
00:46This national defense area will enhance our ability to detect, interdict, and prosecute
00:51the illegal aliens, criminal gangs, and terrorists who were able to invade our country without
00:56consequence for the past four years under the Biden administration.
01:00It will also bolster our defenses against fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics that have been
01:05poisoning our communities.
