00:00Bruno, what do you think? Are you sitting back and watching this from Europe with just
00:04bewilderment? Or is Europe thinking, OK, we've got to change the rules of the game here?
00:10You know, I agree with both my colleagues in different ways. You know, I do agree with
00:15what Carla is saying. And I think the message resonates with the American voter. I spent
00:19some time in Michigan just before the election going to rallies, talking to people, doing some
00:24journalism. And I saw that message resonate. What I don't get and where I agree with Mark is that
00:31the messaging now after the election, and perhaps even before to some extent, is all about blaming
00:37foreigners. And that's the part I don't get. If you travel to the United States, as I have for now
00:4440 years, you see, for example, how infrastructure has degraded. To arrive at Newark Airport and to
00:51travel to Manhattan now, you are just shocked at the state of American infrastructure. And if you
00:55go to a Chinese city, you see the difference. And I could go through a number of variables where
01:00there's been a serious decline. And so to just think that it's because foreigners are scamming us
01:06that the U.S. is no longer manufacturing power. No, it's not because of that. But the messaging over
01:12the last week is entirely about that, to the point where it becomes actually ridiculous that the people
01:18in Lesotho are scamming the United States and enriching themselves at American expense.
01:24You know, no one can take this seriously.
