00:00so the Pistons beat the Knicks last night I know New York sat a couple of players Cleveland just
00:04said to heck with it we'll take our L if we have to they almost beat Indiana without them
00:09Milwaukee's playing great basketball going into their playoff matchup maybe one of the hotter
00:15teams in the east and then the Hawks you know they they are basically the playing game savants
00:20you know they've been playing playing games it feels like every single year they're going to be
00:24headed to that one as well so you know I think probably I would say maybe with Reese Ache playing
00:31well I mean maybe there's like a danger zone here for some of these teams in the east because
00:36Atlanta's got the experience of doing it and by the way they see Atlanta seems I don't know am I
00:41right by this it seems they always win one of the play-in games but then they lose the other one
00:45yeah they are typically pretty successful in the play-in tournament I think last year was the first
00:50time they ever lost in one so I want to say they're three and one or four and one in play-in tournament
00:54games so I think the big thing for teams like that in the play-in tournament range is momentum
00:58because they are going to play again next week if it's Tuesday or Wednesday so closing the season
01:04with a few wins and having some momentum going into the play-in tournament helps a lot and for some of
01:08these teams like Atlanta Miami Chicago there's a big difference in finishing eighth or ninth because
01:14you only have to win one game and if you lose that first game you get a home game so I think we will
01:19see teams like that in the Western Conference as well when you talk about Dallas and those teams I know
01:23we'll talk about the West in a second but these play-in tournament teams even though they can't
01:26get into the top six they still want to have that incentive to only have to win one game to get in
01:30the playoffs when you have a guy like Trey Young he has a tendency to be able to play in those one-off
01:35situations yeah and in the east with the games beginning next week in the play-in I know that
01:40things are still fluid here but I believe we're locked into the teams with Orlando Atlanta Chicago and
01:46Miami I see Gilbert the Miami reporters are talking about how they could still move up to nine
01:52but they can't get a home game and so you know it seems to me over the course of the season that
01:58those first two teams the Magic have played better basketball than the others and Atlanta has the
02:02equalizer in Trey Young you know I want to see the Heat get past this but I mean I just don't know I
02:09mean they're eight games under 500 and playing in a playoff game it just seems crazy to me
02:13yeah at a certain point you kind of ask yourself is it worth it too right because if you make the
02:18playoffs you don't get a lottery pick anymore and I understand that that's kind of thinking about
02:21in a loser's mentality and I'm sure that those guys are going to go out there and play as hard
02:26as they can but I guess it's a win-win right you win a couple games you make the playoffs you aren't
02:30able to win the games you need to win and you get a lottery pick in a pretty deep draft class so
02:33it's interesting to see how that goes Orlando's a team who injuries struck them early in the year and
02:38really impacted their performance I think everybody was expecting them to take a leap after as well as as well
02:42as they played last year but Paolo Bencaro another guy who will make a higher seed in the Eastern
02:47Conference kind of give them a headache he's hard to plan for hard to scout for him and Franz Wagner so
02:51it's an interesting group of play and tournament teams not necessarily the most attractive
02:56group of play and tournament teams given each of their flaws but it should be entertaining basketball
