00:00The National Health Insurance Program, otherwise known as PhilHealth, is on a campaign to increase its membership by broadening its services via its Consulta Expo initiative.

00:11And today, the program held court in a mall in the capital city that drew close to a full house attendance,

00:17thanks to free-of-charge medical checkups and on-the-spot registration that PTV correspondent Noel Talacay covered in this report.

00:25Each person fell in line to avail the different services offered at the Consulta Expo of the Philippine Health Insurance or PhilHealth.

00:36The activity area of a mall in Ermita, Manila was almost full where the said expo was held.

00:42Dito sa PhilHealth Regional Office ng NCR, initiative po namin ito para mapalapit sa mga membro ng NCR ang services na pinoprovide ng Consulta Program.

00:56During the activity, non-PhilHealth individuals were crowded to sign up for membership, register with the Consulta Package Provider, and also get a check-up.

01:08As for existing members, they could also register with the Consulta Package Provider and get diagnosed as well.

01:15Usually, pag meron kaming Consulta Expo, in-invite namin yung mga rural health center, mga accredited Consulta Provider na malapit sa area ng malls, and then kung saan ginagawa yung Expo.

01:29The PhilHealth Consulta Package is the expanded primary care benefit package of PhilHealth.

01:34It aims to keep individuals away or out of the reach of serious illnesses or disease.

01:40PhilHealth's call to the public.

01:42Okay, lahat po ng mga Pilipino dyan na nakarinig ho kayo, nakabalita kayo, nakamarites kayo, na merong Expo ho sa mall, PhilHealth Consulta, dito po sa NCR, pumunta ho kayo.

01:54Based on PhilHealth data, there are over 5,000 Consulta accredited health facilities nationwide.

02:00In Metro Manila alone, there are over 500 health facilities to register the Consulta Package.
