00:00We need to get to the bottom of the possible stock manipulation that is unfolding before the American people,
00:10including what, if any, advanced knowledge did members of the House Republican Conference have of Trump's decision to pause the reckless tariffs that he put into place?
00:24There are several members of Congress who will be aggressively demanding answers and transparency,
00:36particularly as it relates to stock purchase decisions that may have occurred over the last few days.
00:45There will be several avenues that we will be able to pursue and will do so aggressively.
00:49And in fact, because of current congressional rules,
00:58we know that members of the House of Representatives will have to disclose any stock trades that they've made 30 days from the date of those trades or potentially no later than 45 days.
01:15And so the reality is people are going to have to pay the piper in terms of disclosure.
01:24And so our point is you might as well get it out into the public domain now because it's coming later and there's nothing that you can do about it.
01:33It's pretty obvious that when the stock market's in a dip that maybe if you have some money, you might consider investing and make some money when it picks back up again.
01:45I think any idea of insider trading is ridiculous.
01:48I think we need a full independent investigation into who was trading, who made money, who knew what and when they knew it.
01:59You know, the American people have a right to know that policy is being made only with their interests in mind
02:07and not the individual financial interests of people in the Trump administration or Trump family that figure out how to make money on the side hustle.
02:17When the president sends out a tweet saying it's time to buy,
02:21you can bet his friends who are in the know are buying.
02:25Unfortunately, this became a cash and carry White House.
02:31Over and over again, we see evidence of self-dealing and efforts to improve your bottom line net worth with the policies of this administration.
02:43I think it deserves the closest scrutiny.
