00:00This is just one of the craziest stories. We told you about this yesterday, where the wife of the
00:06bassist for Weezer, Scott Schreiner, was arrested, was booked for attempted murder. And this all has
00:17to do with a police chase. We now have details, and the details are crazy. It's absolutely crazy.
00:24What Jillian Lauren, that is Scott's wife, she is the one who was booked for attempted murder,
00:30but she got shot in the shoulder during this police activity in her backyard and in her
00:37neighborhood. The police were chasing after suspects from a hit and run on a nearby freeway.
00:43There were three suspects. One of them ran into a neighborhood that she was in, and she was at the
00:52house next door when one of the suspects shows up on the lawn.
00:58And in a very bizarre fashion. So we have some of the police dispatch, as this chaos is going on,
01:07you're going to hear them talking about the suspect who was stripped down to his boxers
01:10in the neighboring yard.
01:13To presumably blend in, although I don't know how that blends in, but he got rid of the clothes
01:18he was wearing at the hit and run. And then the next door, right next door, you have Jillian
01:22coming out with her gun. And according to the police, what you're going to hear them saying
01:28is they believe that she fired her gun at least once.
01:32Hey, he has a gun.
01:34Hey, it's a female Hispanic, long gray shirt, black hair, black hat. She has a gun in her hand.
01:40Okay, Roger. I got eyes on her. Four shots fired.
01:43Hey, if I got your possible male suspect, he's going to be, looks like he took his clothes off.
01:49He's in boxer briefs.
01:50If you find the female suspects, he's going to be wanted for AEW on the PO.
01:54There's a gunshot victim at Eagle Vista Drive. Can a unit respond?
01:58I don't know the address of that female suspect, so that might be our female suspect gunshot victim.
02:03So here's, let's kind of deconstruct this. So Jillian is inside the house. She hears the commotion.
02:10She comes outside. She sees what's going on. Now, we're trying to piece this together,
02:16but it appears from everything we now know is that at least the authorities are saying
02:22she fired at a police officer.
02:25Right. That's what they are saying. And I would imagine that's why they will say,
02:30that's why they responded, and she ended up getting shot in the shoulder.
02:34And so if you listen to that dispatch, they say that there was somebody who got hit.
02:41And if they were firing at the police officer, they believed a police officer got hit.
02:45We have not heard that from law enforcement, and we've been making dozens of phone calls.
02:52They issued a press release finally, never said anything about an officer being hit.
02:56But you hear that right in the audio.
02:58Yeah. Listen, L.A. is known for its police chases and wild, you know, televised chases.
03:05This one, the ending of it is really...
03:07Well, we're not done, because this is not the ending.
03:11Yeah.
03:11So she goes to the hospital for treatment, right, and she's being held in a million dollars bond.
03:18She bails out. She gets out. And guess where she's going tomorrow?
03:24I would imagine she's going to be at Coachella, because that's where her husband's band is scheduled to play.
03:31And we actually... Scott is back in their neighborhood.
03:35I got video of him this morning walking his dogs. Here's what he had to say.
03:40How's your wife doing? I know a lot of people are concerned.
03:43Yeah, she's all right. Thank you for asking.
03:46Of course.
03:47Morning, Stephen.
03:47Are you upset?
03:48What's up, tuxedo?
03:49Are you upset by any chance the way that the police handled the situation?
03:53I know. I can't comment on that.
03:54Is there anything you can tell us about what happened yesterday?
03:57No, not at all. I can't talk to you guys.
03:59How do you feel about being arrested for attempted murder, Scott?
04:02You know what? I can't comment on that to you guys.
04:04Is she doing... Have you talked to her?
04:05How are you...
04:05Oh, yeah, of course.
04:07And is she doing okay? Is she recovering?
04:08Yeah, she's all right. Thanks for asking, you guys.
04:09Is she badly injured?
04:10See you guys.
04:11Can you tell us anything else?
04:12Are you going to be playing Coachella on Saturday?
04:14How are you feeling? How...
04:15See you at Coachella.
04:17I mean, he sounds remarkably calm and unbothered for someone who is going through this.
04:21I mean, this must have been a frantic scene.
04:23You've got three guys running after a hit and run.
04:25His wife comes out waving the gun.
04:27I would love to know what he has to...
04:28Cooperating.
04:28What does he have to say?
04:29It's like, my wife...
04:31I mean, here's what...
04:32Listen, their version of this is going to be, she's at home.
04:36Apparently, their kids are there because the babysitter was also there.
04:38Right.
04:39And she thinks that there's a dangerous suspect about to come through their yard,
04:44so she came out with a gun.
04:45I mean, that's going to be her version of it.
04:47Now, as far as if she did actually fire it in the direction of the police...
04:51At the police officer.
04:51I don't know what her...
04:52That's going to be another...
04:53That's a whole other thing.
04:55That's a whole other thing.
04:56But I think, like, you know, like, if you know that there's cops outside,
04:59you shouldn't really be going outside with a loaded firearm.
05:03And the fact that the suspect wasn't even in her actual backyard,
05:06and the suspect was in the neighboring backyard,
05:09it just doesn't make sense that she'd go outside with a loaded firearm.
05:11No, that's true.
05:12By the way, she has a colorful history.
05:14Yes.
05:15Jillian has had a really interesting life in that she, back in the...
05:21I want to say, was it the late 90s?
05:24Yeah.
05:24Maybe early 2000s.
05:25She wrote a book about her time in the harem of one of the princes of Brunei.
05:33And it was called Some Girls, My Life in a Harem.
05:37Yeah, and according to her, she was passed along to the...
05:42To the Sultan of Brunei as well.
05:42To the Sultan of Brunei.
05:43To the Prince's brother and all of that.
05:46Crazy case.
05:47But I will say, they're living in suburban Los Angeles now,
05:51and they have two kids that they've adopted.
05:53So for this bizarre incident to land in their backyard,
05:59and for her to react this way...
06:01You know what I'm thinking?
06:02I'm just thinking...
06:03It's like, God, do the dogs really need to go to the bathroom?
06:05And...
06:05Yeah, of course the dogs need to go to the bathroom.
06:07No, I know, but he's just thinking...
06:08The dogs don't know what happened.
06:09I'm going to walk...
06:09No, he's like, I'm going to walk outside,
06:11and they're going to be photographers out there.
06:13Exactly.
06:14McKenzie from Kansas City.
06:15Is this a drug deal gone wrong?
06:17Because it doesn't make sense why she would be going out with a loaded gun,
06:20especially if she has kids in the house.
06:22If anything, when you hear noise and commotion from your neighbors,
06:24the first thing you're going to do is you're going to open your window
06:27or just peep open your door.
06:28You're not going to go running out with a gun.
06:30And if she did shoot out the cop,
06:32that's going to add even more questions to this,
06:34because was she on something?
06:36Is that why her husband's so calm?
06:38Because this is an ongoing pattern?
06:40Ma'am, ma'am, drop the spatula.
06:43Put down the spatula.
06:45Come out of the house.
06:46Come out.
06:47I'm your mom at a hygienist.
06:47Let him go.
06:48What are you going to do?
06:49Be sure he is.
06:50Alright.
06:50Today, let's see.
06:50I'm going to go.
06:51I need my правила.
06:52I'm going to go.
06:52Bye-bye.
06:53Bye-bye.
