00:00So, John, who do you think is going to blink first, China or the U.S., as this trade war escalation continues?
00:07I was speaking to our correspondent from Singapore earlier, and he was saying that this is where the difficulty is coming in.
00:15There does seems to be a standoff. You know, Trump wants to negotiate.
00:19China wants to negotiate. But no one's starting the conversation.
00:22Well, I think I would bet on President Trump. But that aside, I think people should actually look at the divestment and the speed to which companies make their decisions to diversify their supply chains and their operations outside of China.
00:41I don't see countries leaving America. I see countries investing into America.
00:48I don't see people or should say countries, I should say companies investing into China.
00:54So at this point in time, I think you have to see what decisions are made, where are they going?
01:01And I think China is looking at that same data to say, you know what, if supply chains are moving to Vietnam, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries, I think China will say, you know what, we're losing too much.
01:15We need to start these conversations and end these conversations with some type of balance, free and fair trade before too much business starts going to Southeast Asia, because that will actually weaken China from their perspective.
01:30Amen.
