00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Huston-Betts and today I'm out on the streets
00:03of Manchester asking people about pint. And that's because here in Stephenson Square it's a very,
00:08very popular place for a post-work pint but realistically it's going to say you're back
00:12at the very least £4 and that's only if it's happy hour. So we want to know what the most
00:16people would be willing to pay for a pint and how much they expect to pay here in Manchester.
00:21I don't know, in an ideal world I would pay more than a fiver. I think here because you've got
00:26kind of like the environment, like if you sat in the sunshine you're paying for the experience
00:30aren't you? So I would say maybe like, I'd say max like £7 and it was like going to be a really
00:37nice premium lager. For me it's between £5.50 and £6.50. Most I'd pay for a pint maybe £7.50
00:46really, anything more than that then it's just a bit ridiculous I think. I think Northern Quarter's
00:51really expensive compared to whereabouts we live, the outskirts of Greater Manchester.
00:56That's a lot more affordable and cheaper.
