00:00More than 1,000 health workers will be added to the ranks of the Philippine General Hospital

00:29More than 1,200 healthcare professionals are expected to be added to the PGH.

00:39According to Malacanang, the Department of Budget and Management has approved

00:45under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:47the creation of additional positions for the Philippine General Hospital.

00:521,200 positions will be opened for its medical, allied medical, and support staff

01:01in accordance with the request of the UPPGH

01:04to strengthen the organizational and manpower capacity of the hospital

01:09to be able to provide a better service to the patients.

01:13This is important especially since the PGH is considered the largest hospital of the government

01:20with more than 6,000 patients per year.

01:23It is also the national referral center for tertiary care

01:27which means it is the primary hospital for the treatment of complicated diseases.

01:36Many Filipinos will go to the PGH because it can provide a good service

01:44and they will be able to save a lot of money when they go to the PGH.

01:50Under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

01:54the manpower capacity of the hospital will be increased

02:01so that more Filipinos will be able to provide a good service.

02:05The construction of additional 1,224 positions in four tranches will be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

02:18At the same time, Malacanang will continue the construction of job fairs

02:23to maintain the increase in the employment rate of Filipinos who have jobs in the Philippines.

02:30We will continue this because we have a lot of programs for the hiring of employees of our countrymen.

02:40Especially, there is a program for four-piece beneficiaries who can get on-the-spot hiring.

02:50According to the Philippine Statistics Authority,

02:53the employment rate of Filipinos who have jobs or businesses increased last February

02:59to P49.15 million, which is higher than P48.49 million in January.

03:06This means that the government will be able to provide jobs for our countrymen.
