Oregon Co-OC/Tight Ends Coach Drew Mehringer Breaks Down Tight End Approach to Spring Ball
Transcript
00:00Part of this position is being being tough and so sometimes you got to go at
00:07times that other guys don't. What it also does though when let's just say that we
00:12didn't have enough guys right we've got plenty of good running backs out there
00:16that could do that we can make that from 12 personnel with 21 personnel it gives
00:20guys other opportunities as well you know it's good to see all of my guys
00:25they're gonna get more than enough reps I think at practice and but it gives
00:31guys like Dier Hill a chance to get out there and we can see what he looks like
00:35you know in a very talented running back room you know you're getting a chance to
00:39see some of Cooper Perry and DeCorean Moore and some of those guys right a
00:44little bit more in some of those reps that doesn't necessarily have to be just
00:49a tight end especially you know in detached positions and things like that
00:53you know we've you know used an offensive lineman in one of those roles
00:57right if it's gonna be in an attached role and it gives you know another look
01:02at you know Zaire you know out there for another rep so I think that there's a
01:08number of different ways to look at it but you know I know coach landing will
01:13never go away from two spot as long as he has the people to do it
