Transcript
00:00And again it's another crime in the West Midlands with young boys and knives.
00:09There was a sword involved, there was other knives and you're at the sharp end of
00:14seeing the devastating consequences. Have you got a message to
00:19children out there who think about playing with knives or their parents?
00:22Well let's start with the children first. So obviously this is the absolute worst
00:27consequences of a fight involving a knife and to any young person who's aware of
00:31what's happened here you know be aware that if you take a knife to a fight then
00:35you could either end up killing someone and spending a lot of time in prison or
00:38even have the knife turned on you and lose your own life. So it's still
00:42something that needs to be you know considered by children that do not take
00:45knives to a fight because you know people could end up losing their lives.
00:49Anyway so a sword involved in this incident and Ronan Laws has just come
00:55out to do with Ronan Kander and the banning of online sales. Do you think
00:59you welcome that? Yeah of course yeah anything that can do anything to prevent young people carrying knives, using knives can only be a good thing.
01:08And these kind of also zombie knives and stuff like that, they seem to be like designed to hurt
01:13people in a way which we might not have seen before so perhaps these
01:18children don't actually realise how dangerous this knife is that they're holding.
01:23Yeah that's absolutely true, I mean even you talk about zombie knives there but even kitchen knives can have the same devastating effect and it can cause horrific injuries to another human being and lead to their death, whatever the size of the knife really.
01:35Great, thank you very much.
