00:00Beyond acting, I also saw that you're a producer and you also have your own creative space,
00:04Eagle Lab Studio.
00:06What inspired you to create that and how does that fit into your overall artistic vision?
00:10I think the dance background actually inspired that.
00:14I don't have siblings, but I grew up in a dance studio and what the studio provided
00:21me was a family, an extended family of girls and boys and all of us are just artists and
00:29we needed a place to be, even when we didn't have dance class per se, they had a lounge
00:34set up for us.
00:35We could come just hang out and just not be in the streets.
00:39And so to be in this creative environment and building with people and meeting new people
00:46and having that sense of like having the siblings without the actual blood relation, it meant
00:56a lot.
00:57So me moving so far from home, now I'm on the West Coast and granted, I found my village,
01:05but I knew that I wanted a sense of community, an artistic community and a photography and
01:12videography studio made the most sense because of obviously the industry that I'm in, but
01:18also my husband and I share a production company.
01:22So that also runs out of EGOLAB's walls as well.
01:27And there's always, there were so many times where we needed a space and we were renting
01:32other people's space and trying to find a home for things that we were creating.
01:38And it was just like, we need to create our own.
01:42And so together him and I are running EGOLAB and we're almost at our year of being open
01:48to the public. We opened last March and that is a massive milestone for me as a first time
01:55business owner and in Culver City where I didn't know anyone when I first got into
02:02Culver City and got this building.
02:04But the sense of community that has evolved out of a result of opening our doors has been
02:11extremely fulfilling.
