00:00There will always be people who are never going to be able to work because of the severity
00:06of their health condition or disability and under this government they will always have
00:10the support they need and deserve. But today I have heard from all sorts of people that
00:16they desperately want to work if they can get the right support, if they can get their
00:21NHS operation, if they can have access to talking therapists, if they can improve their
00:25skills or maybe having some volunteering experience as a step towards the world of
00:30work. People in Barnsley have said they are desperate for that support and that's what
00:34this Labour government has delivered. This is about helping people who have currently
00:39been written off and stuck on benefits who themselves say with the right help and support
00:45they want to work. The Barnsley Commission found around 70% of those people on sickness
00:51and disability benefits said they wanted to work if they could have the right chance.
00:56Barnsley and South Yorkshire are determined to provide that support and this Labour government
01:01nationally is going to back their effort.
