00:00The Philippine National Police, or PNP, has once again used social media fake news peddlers as a sample.
00:07After the alleged involvement of two individuals in the cybercrime of the PRO7,
00:14because they did not follow the spread of false information or fake news on their Facebook and TikTok accounts,
00:21IAPRO7 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Rodrigo Maranan,
00:26said that the spread of false information on social media is a serious offense
00:31because it creates confusion among the public.
00:35At a time when it can be proven that the suspects have been in prison for 12 years,
00:40Maranan reminded the public that they should be more vigilant in cyber patrolling
00:46so that the spread of fake news can be completely eliminated.
