00:17According to a spokesman from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department, the victim, identified
00:22as 36-year-old Daryl Sagan, was the lorry's attendant.
00:27The department received an emergency call at 8.23am, and a team of five firefighters
00:32from the Batunia Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene, located 28 kilometres
00:38away.
00:39The accident occurred when the container lorry and a Perodua Aruz, both travelling from Bintulu
00:45to Miri, reportedly grazed against each other.
00:49Two people from the Perodua Aruz and the lorry driver were taken to a nearby health clinic
00:54by passers-by.
00:56Officers used a tow crane to extricate the trapped victim, but he was later confirmed
01:01dead by health ministry personnel.
01:03His body was handed over to the police for further action.
