00:24Preliminary investigations by the Batu Pahat Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division
00:29revealed that both vehicles were heading north when the car in front lost control and crashed
00:34into the road divider.
00:36The impact caused the car to spin and stop across the middle of the road, where it was
00:40struck by the SUV, which was unable to avoid the collision.
00:45The crash killed the car's driver, 24-year-old Mohamed Shahrul Nizam Mohamed Ali, and his
00:51wife, 23-year-old Norsuhada Kartika Razak.
00:56The couple, from Taman Kota Jaya, Kota Tinggi, Johor, suffered severe head injuries and
01:01were pronounced dead at the scene.
01:04The 50-year-old SUV driver sustained chest injuries and is receiving treatment at Sultana
01:09Fatima Specialist Hospital in Muar.
01:12The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act,
01:181987.
