You only get part of a day in most ports so making good choices is critical.

00:00Hello, cruisers. I am Dan Klein, executive editor of the most read cruise site in
00:04the world, Come Cruise With Me. That is comecruisewith.com. We know the URL and
00:08the name aren't great. We are working on that. I am here with Dennis Post. Dennis
00:12is the co-owner of Postcard Travel Planning, and he is the reason I am
00:16standing here on this amazing beach in the British Virgin Islands. You have to
00:21take a charter boat to get here, but most destinations are kind of hidden. Dennis,
00:27there is a way to find out, sort of a secret way to find out, what the best
00:31place to visit is in each port. What do you do to find that out? So if you don't
00:35know, and you get on a cruise, and you're thinking about what you want to do, talk
00:38to some of the crews. The crew get off. They get opportunities to get off the
00:41cruise ship at certain ports at certain times, but they know the locals, and they
00:45know the local spots to go to, like Joseph Van Dyke, where we are in the
00:49British Virgin Islands. So the best people to talk to are the musicians. So
00:54the solo musicians, the ice skaters, the people like that, they get time off
00:58during the day. They have drills. They have other things they have to do, but
01:01many days they have time off. So they know the hidden restaurants. They know
01:05the secret beach to go to. So ask those people. They will be
01:08willing to share. They will be willing to tell you. Now maybe when you get there, if
01:12one of them are there, buy them a drink. If you see a crew member, these
01:16people work very, very hard, but they have all the insight. I am Dan Klein. He is
01:21Dennis Post. Come cruise with us soon.
