00:00So, as we take a look at, hey, Aaron Rodgers, I get upset with this.
00:05Not because I don't think Aaron Rodgers should go to the Steelers.
00:08I think it's a great fit.
00:10Not a great fit saying they're going to win a Super Bowl, he's the missing piece to the
00:13puzzle, but the Steelers don't have a quarterback.
00:16It's not Mason Rudolph.
00:17The Steelers have a very good team, a solid defense, wide receivers now with trading for
00:22DK, pick-ins, a solid running game, decent offensive line, you just need a quarterback
00:27to pull the trigger, which Aaron Rodgers could be the quarterback to pull the trigger
00:30and get them to the playoffs.
00:32But here's what I don't understand from a perspective of Aaron Rodgers.
00:35What he is actually waiting for at this point, and then to counterpoint what is actually
00:39taking place with the Pittsburgh Steelers behind the scenes.
00:42We had a tweet yesterday from Gary Dulac, it said, breaking, Art Rooney II has a good
00:47feeling about Aaron Rodgers and the signs are pointing in that direction of signing
00:51him for the Steelers.
00:53Now understand this, I don't know what the weight is.
00:56If he likes it now, does that mean he just wants to go to Egypt or a couple of dark rooms
01:01or take some retreats in Ayahuasca over the next couple of months because he wants to
01:05stay away from football before he returns to it, Mark?
01:07Help me out with what's the waiting period going on right now with Aaron Rodgers?
01:12I still believe some of the waiting period is the Minnesota Vikings and whether they
01:15want Aaron Rodgers to come play there.
01:18I think that's one factor.
01:19I have a hard time believing, excuse me, the other factor is that, you know, there's a
01:25money issue here, right?
01:26That's not the holdup, right?
01:28I don't think Aaron Rodgers is fighting over, you know, $4 or $5 million being paid, $25
01:33million being paid versus $30 or whatever it may be.
01:36And I certainly don't think the length of the deal is the issue.
01:39At most, it's going to be two years and it would be a situation where, you know, the
01:44Steelers figure out what they're going to do probably in the second year of this deal.
01:46So when you look at Aaron Rodgers and the timing of this whole thing, the fact that
01:52it's pointing in that direction, or at least according to the ownership that it's pointing
01:55in that direction, tells you that maybe, you know, the Steelers have given them some sort
01:59of ultimatum.
02:00We need an answer by this date, take it or leave it kind of deal.
02:04And Rodgers may leave it, but nobody wants to be left without a seat when the music stops
02:09and the Steelers have the sense of urgency to get this done sooner rather than later.
02:13Aaron Rodgers doesn't have to have that sense of urgency.
02:15He can wait this thing out as long as he wants.
