दिल्ली – केंद्रीय मंत्री किरण रिजिजू ने लोकसभा में वक्फ संशोधन बिल को पेश करने के दौरान बताया कि इस संशोधन की जरूरत क्यों पड़ी। उन्होंने कहा कि 2013 में यूपीए सरकार ने ऐसा कानून बनाया कि अब कोई भी वक्फ बना सकता था। इसके साथ ही वक्फ द्वारा सरकारी इमारतों वाली संपत्ति पर अपना दावा करने के बाद यूपीए सरकार ने 123 संपत्तियों को वक्फ को सौंप दी। उन्होंने कहा कि संसद, बसंत बिहार, एयरपोर्ट आदि पर वक्फ बोर्ड ने अपना दावा पेश किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर नरेंद्र मोदी की सरकार नहीं आती तो कौन-कौन सी संपत्तियां वक्फ को सौंप दी जाती।
