00:00Hi, I'm Ilaria Lafronza, I'm a painter and I make
00:28mini-paintings of 5x7 cm.
00:45I've always been drawing, but I started experimenting with miniatures in 2016.
00:53I started with the famous miniatures to practice as best as I could
01:00and then other landscapes, architectures and subjects came along.
01:08It's very complicated to try to capture so many details in such a small canvas.
01:16There's not just the technique behind it, but also very small brushes
01:23that help me to be as precise as possible.
01:31At the moment I don't use any enlargement lenses,
01:35but I've been wearing glasses since September
01:39to help my vision to be as optimal as possible and to be more and more precise.
01:54The time I spend on a canvas depends on how detailed or simple the subject is.
02:09Let's say that what I prefer at the moment are the architectures,
02:15because they give me the possibility to be more and more precise and detailed,
02:20especially when it comes to monuments such as the ones of the Baroque-Alexandrian architecture.
02:29I've managed to make all this my current work,
02:33I also hope that in the future, not only in the near future, but also that it will last a lifetime.
