00:00When I was first on Shark Tank, I was hesitant to speak up.
00:03I was the only female there, hard to be heard.
00:06I thought, oh, well, these guys know a lot more than me.
00:08But I knew, in short order, that I knew people better than women.
00:11If you know people and can judge people, that's what Shark Tank's all about.
00:14I lost all my money on great businesses that I judged improperly.
00:19And I made all my money on entrepreneurs that I love.
00:22If you love an entrepreneur and you think they're capable of making it to the finish line,
00:25you put your money there, don't give a darn about what business they're in.
00:28And I've always made money on those deals.
00:30And so what advice do you have for young entrepreneurs?
00:33Stick with it.
00:34If you're no good at bouncing back up like a jack-in-the-box when someone hits you on the head,
00:38you don't have any business being in business for yourself.
00:40Entrepreneurship is nothing but anything more than jumping over a series of obstacles.
00:45And you have to have the faith in yourself and get to the finish line.
00:48If you've got that in you, all the other traits are minor by comparison.
