00:00The Philippines will send humanitarian assistance to Myanmar and Thailand after a strong earthquake hit there.

00:08The Philippine government is tightening the situation affected by the earthquake.

00:14I'm Angelo Pinaloza of Radyo Pilipinas for Balitang Pambansa.

00:18Thank you very much Ms. Nelly, just like no other Filipino has been hurt or injured in Thailand after the strong earthquake this Friday.

00:31So far, as Ms. Paredes said, no one has given any news or updates that they need help.

00:40Praise God, because everyone is safe, even though they are apartments.

00:46Although there are no strong aftershocks that are felt and some of our countrymen are already returning to work in Thailand,

00:53the Philippine Embassy assured that they are continuously monitoring the situation to respond immediately if there is a need for help.

01:01The Office of Civil Defense immediately called for an interagency meeting with the DOH, NDRMC,

01:08and several government agencies for humanitarian assistance to be delivered to Thailand and Myanmar.

01:14This includes the deployment of three Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team, K-9 units,

01:20for search and rescue, mobile generator, solar-powered lights, and tents.

01:25Ms. Nelly is asking for the victims of the earthquake to be continuously prayed for,

01:29especially our countrymen in Myanmar who were severely affected by the earthquake.

01:34Let's continue to pray for all the victims of the earthquake,

01:41especially those who were trapped in the collapsed building.

01:45Let's continue to pray for them because right now there are still 77 missing individuals on that collapsed building.

01:52And please continue to pray as well for our countrymen in Myanmar.

01:57The OCD reminded the Filipinos in Myanmar and Thailand not to hesitate to contact our embassies so that they can be immediately assisted by the government.
