00:00Ikan, the search for the trapped in a house in Myanmar continues
00:04following the magnitude 7.7 earthquake there.
00:07Among the missing are four Filipinos.
00:11Their family is asking for a quick rescue operation.
00:14First news is from Jonathan Andal.
00:19Teacher Edsil. Lex. Alexis.
00:26They were found in Myanmar while searching for their husband Alexis Gale and Edsil Adalid.
00:35They were believed to be trapped in a 12-story building called Sky Villa Condominium
00:41in the city of Mandalay, which is the closest to the epicenter of the magnitude 7.7 earthquake.
00:48In this area, the Filipinos are looking for their loved ones
00:51because they saw Alexis' brown jacket hanging here.
00:56Under this sofa is the husband's room on the 9th floor of Tower D.
01:02Their family is praying in Bae City in Negros Oriental for their safety.
01:09We lit a candle hoping that there will be a miracle.
01:15Even if they are inside, they will still be alive.
01:20I can't accept that they will be gone.
01:25Our eldest son is kind and talented. He is very talented.
01:30But no matter what happens, God will take care of it.
01:35We are dreaming that they are still alive.
01:38We are not giving up hoping that they are still alive.
01:42We wanted to ask everybody who can see this video to keep praying
01:49that we will be able to receive a miracle for Alexis and Edsil,
01:55that they are found or they will be found alive.
02:00Another Filipino is missing, Francis Aragon,
02:03who also lives in Sky Villa Condominium on the 6th floor of Tower D.
02:07This is what Tower D looks like now,
02:10based on the picture that was sent to Francis' wife.
02:13We don't know where he is, if he went out of the condo or if he is still trapped there.
02:18I have no idea.
02:21What I really want is to find him, to see him as soon as possible.
02:26Aside from Francis, Edsil, and Alexis,
02:28there is another Filipino missing in Myanmar, according to the DFA.
02:32According to the DFA, there are four accounted for.
02:35They are professionals, usually teachers, office workers.
02:40According to their family, three Filipinos went to Myanmar
02:44to teach in an international school there.
02:47Francis will only be in Myanmar for a year.
02:50This is the first time we have been away for this long.
02:53He will be there for a year.
02:55We have four children and two of them.
02:57They are still very young.
02:58We have a lot of bills and debts that we have to pay.
03:02So, we sacrificed to be away for a while,
03:07so that he can go to Myanmar.
03:10But our plan is,
03:12if it's okay,
03:14we will be able to pay our debts soon.
03:18If it's okay, we will be able to go with his family.
03:23The Adalid couple have been in Myanmar for two years.
03:26But this February, they will be moving to Gumuhung Sky Villa Condominium.
03:30According to the family,
03:32the couple will be inside the condo when the earthquake happens.
03:36There is no food.
03:37We don't have food.
03:38I know they are still alive.
03:39I hope they are still alive.
03:40I hope I can help them find them today.
03:43That's why I am calling on Ed Sergius, Adalid, and his wife, Alexis Gail,
03:51to help them find them.
03:53Because someone said that they are still under debris.
03:57If President Marcos will be able to see this,
04:00if possible,
04:01we will be able to speed up the rescue team to Myanmar,
04:06to Sky Villa.
04:09I think it's really different from Pinoy to Pinoy.
04:13According to the Office of Civil Defense,
04:15they are preparing to send 114 people to Myanmar.
04:19On April 1,
04:20they will be there for two weeks for humanitarian aid.
04:24The missing relatives want to go to Myanmar with them.
04:28I want to go there.
04:30No matter what happens,
04:32I want to see them there.
04:34According to the Myanmar authorities,
04:36the most dangerous debris was found in the roof of the house.
04:39The lack of heavy equipment is a big part of the rescue operation in the house.
04:44That's why some rescuers are manually digging and drilling in the debris
04:49for the debris to come out,
04:51including this old woman.
04:54This is the first news.
