00:00I don't know how close attention you're going to have to pay, but you can't miss it.
00:05This one, yeah.
00:06You can't miss this one, yeah.
00:15Alright, so first things first, I got the stickers for both of you, the Russo brothers.
00:19And a huge fan, not just myself, but everyone in Malaysia.
00:24Fifteen grand.
00:25Is it loaded?
00:26Yes, sir.
00:27Well then, I'll paint it.
00:31What's wrong with you?
00:34Were there any unexpected moments on set that you completely changed the way you approach a scene?
00:41Yeah, I mean there's a big change that we made, which was this robot right here, his name is Cosmo.
00:46You know, originally in the script, he didn't speak at all.
00:49And then, once we started rehearsing with Millie, we realised he's going to have to say something.
00:55But we needed it to be limited, so we came up with the idea of catchphrases, so he can only speak in catchphrases.
01:01I guess a surprise almost frequently on set was when Millie Bobby Brown would show up with a new animal.
01:07She's a big animal lover.
01:09She brought many puppies to set, many dogs, a goat.
01:14So it was supposed to be like a therapy or something, is it?
01:17Yeah, she lives at a farm and she loves animals.
01:22This bot knows where to find my brother.
01:25I want him back.
01:27Find him!
01:30And one more thing, we know that Electric State, from a graphic novel, it has a very haunting, beautiful aesthetics to it.
01:36Can you share your approach on bringing Simon's artwork to life, while maintaining yours?
01:42I'm not sure if you've seen the comments on YouTube that some of them did bring that up as well.
01:46It's a little bit different from what they've seen on the graphic novel.
01:51Here's the thing that we always say.
01:53When we developed Infinity War and Endgame, they're not straight adaptations.
01:58That's true.
01:59We take interpretation, we take liberties, we're artists.
02:02We try to interpret in a way that speaks to us.
02:06And we also, as artists, want to find our own expression through it.
02:10So we use that as inspiration to tell our own story.
02:13And if you like the book, you can read the book.
02:16And if you want to see a different expression of it, you can watch the movie.
02:19I think one of the most special things about Simon Stalenhag's artwork and book
02:23is that when you look at it, you feel like there's a bigger story behind all of this.
02:29We sort of took it upon ourselves to find another story behind it.
02:34You want a novel? Read the novel.
02:36You want a movie? Watch the movie.
02:38Yeah, that's right.
02:39And also, Joe, you're known to be making surprising cameos in all your past works.
02:44Should we be paying closer attention to any particular scene?
02:48I don't know how close attention you're going to have to pay.
02:50You can't miss it. This one.
02:52Yeah, I think you can't miss this one.
02:54Playing a very aggressive news personality.
02:58Okay, so we'll definitely keep an eye on that.
03:18.
