00:00The first night of the extended operating hours of the LRT-1 has come to an end.

00:05It was made clear that the train will only carry out a 30-minute extension every weekday.

00:15Good news for the commuters of the LRT-1.

00:19Since last night, their operation has been extended by 30 minutes.

00:23According to the new schedule of the LRT-1,

00:25the last train will depart from Dr. Santos Station at 10.30 p.m.

00:30While at 10.45 p.m., the last train will depart from Fernando Poe Jr. Station.

00:36According to the Littoral Manila Corporation,

00:38there will be no changes to the time of the first train's departure.

00:42The train will leave at 4.30 a.m. from Fernando Poe Jr. Station and Dr. Santos Station.

00:49The extended operating hours of the LRT-1 aims to help the commuters to go home at night

00:54as well as those who work during the night shift.

00:57We really studied it well because we wanted to make sure that it will not significantly impact

01:03the available maintenance window.

01:07Because we know that the LRT-1 has 25 stations.

01:11Any extension of the LRT-1 will take longer to reach the last train.

01:16From the line to the depot, there are maintenance works.

01:20Of course, we need to do this to ensure the continuous availability, reliability, and safety of our service.

01:28The extended operating hours are every weekday.

01:31Every weekend, the last train will leave at 9.30 p.m. at Dr. Santos Station

01:35and at 9.45 p.m. at Fernando Poe Jr. Station.

01:40More than 6,000 passengers will be added to the LRT-1 due to the extended operation.

01:45We will continue to monitor the situation,

01:48but we assure them that we will implement initiatives to mitigate any impact.

01:54Meanwhile, more and more passengers will be added to the LRT-1 starting April 2.

01:59The cheapest single-journey ticket is P20 less than P15.

02:05The LRT-3 operation was extended for an hour on Monday.
