00:10strong. The conference board, one of the most trusted business research
00:15organizations, showed consumer confidence has dropped for the fourth
00:20straight month. And it didn't just drop, it's now at the lowest levels since
00:28January of 2021, the last time Donald Trump was president. Donald Trump's
00:35disastrous policies are starting to catch up with him. The economic chickens
00:39are coming home to roost, and I fear this is just the beginning.
00:48How can any American have confidence in the economy when Donald Trump and Elon
00:56Musk are trying to take away their Social Security and health care to cut
01:00taxes? How can Americans feel confident when Donald Trump starts, stops, starts,
01:06changes his position on tariffs? How can Americans have confidence when the
01:13prospect of trade wars sends stock markets plunging and lets billionaires
01:18like Elon Musk take a chainsaw to people's events, to people's benefits?
01:24Americans look at this chaos, they're worried, they're troubled, and so what do
01:29they do? They say, I'd better not spend more, I'd better keep some money in my
01:34pocket, because who knows what's going to happen next and what will hurt me next.
01:39So the fall, this lowest level of confidence in 12 years, this fall in
01:47the lowest level since January of 2021, and the lowest level that we
01:58have seen in so long is all because Donald Trump is creating chaos in the
02:04economy, and Americans are worried and afraid. When they are, they spend less
02:12money, they hire less, and the economy shrinks. More and more people are
02:17learning that Donald Trump and his leadership in the economy, or lack of
02:23leadership, is far too erratic, far too chaotic, far too unpredictable, and many
02:30of us fear, many Americans fear, it's only the beginning.
